Chapter 110 : Special Grade 3

Yuta and Yuji stood side by side, facing the imposing figure of the Finger Bearer, a Special Grade Curse Spirit.

[Calling it to curse spirit all the time will be annoying so I search whether it has a name, and guess ! what he do have a name.]

Yuat has to say that the feeling he was getting from this curse spirit was way different than those third-grade or second-grade curse spirits, he was not sure why but it sent chills down his spine. The creature loomed, its grotesque form and powerful aura making it clear that this was no ordinary curse.

That might be the one difference between curses and villains who he has faced before. Not all villains have lethal attacks or quirks but pretty much all curses are lethal. 

The entire power system revolves around negative energy, what else he can expect? 

"Yuji, only focus on giving me support. You are not ready for this level of fight right now. Try to infuse your curse energy with that curse weapon of yours and don't attack recklessly," Yuta said, his voice steady, maybe this was his experience of dealing with villains kicking in that he was so calm.

Though another reason was surely that he also believed in his own power. The curse is strong, yes, but he is stronger. At least he believes so. 

He doesn't believe this random curse here, the special grade may it be, could be stronger than All Might or AFO.

Yuji nodded, his eyes focused on the curse. "Right. Let's do this."

Yuji just wanted to help others, there was nothing more in his mind. He was fearless true but with no plan or control over his curse technique, he was pretty much useless here. 

Well as long as doesn't let Sukuna out that's it. 

No, maybe that might be even worst...

The Finger Bearer roared, the sound reverberating through the empty space. Without warning, it lunged forward, its muscular hand swinging down to crush them. Yuji and Yuta sprang into action, dodging the attack with synchronized agility.

Yuta decided not to directly resort to the use of OFA. If he understood one thing after coming here then is that jujutsu fights are more than just brawl fights. 

There is much strategy at play here. He needs to understand what kind of curse he is fighting right now. So his best option was to observe. 

So instead of OFA, he went for Sharingan.

Though very quickly he understood that it was a bad idea after seeing the sheer gap in both power and speed. So he had to quickly back off.

Yuji was the first to strike, charging at the curse with incredible speed. He had a curse knife in his hand which glowed with cursed energy as he landed a powerful attack on the Finger Bearer's torso. Only to find that the tool did nothing.

'What, his ... his skin. It's like Iron.' Yuji's eyes widened in disbelief as he fell into a contemplative state for a few seconds there. 

That wasn't good as the curse was ready to attack him back. But Yuta was ready by this time. He immediately used OFA up to 10% and came right next to Yuta to save him. Making the attack which was previously intended for Yuji, crash with Yuta's Smash. 

The impact sent shockwaves through the air, but the curse barely flinched. It retaliated with a swipe of its clawed hand, forcing both Yuji and Yuta to leap back to avoid being skewered.

Looking at his slightly bleeding fist, Yuta instantly drew a little bit of RCT to heal and then up his OFA from 10 to 15%. 

That was when the blue aura around him thinking, finally making the famous blue glow of Dynamic visible. 

Yuta took advantage of the opening created by Spirit's missed attack. He channelled immense strength into his legs. With a burst of blue lightning crackling around him, he dashed towards the curse, aiming a high-powered kick at its side. The force of the kick sent the Finger Bearer stumbling, but it quickly regained its balance.

The curse turns to Yuta now. Even he seems surprised that Yuta was this strong. And by the looks of it, maybe from now on it will target Yuta more. 

Yuji on the side who had never seen this glow on Yuta nor had seen him this strong was both surprised and impressed. 

"Don't be distracted!" Yuta shouted as he landed beside Yuji.

Finally, Yuta was getting a read on how strong was Finger Bearer, he was very new to the Jujutsu world to determine how powerful a curse is by just his Curse Energy. But after landing that one fist he could say that he was around the level of that Nomu he fought back then. 

That more is the case when he saw the damage he did with that kick heal up in an instant on that Spirit. 

'He heals. This gonna be troublesome.' 

The Finger Bearer roared again, swinging its massive arms in a wild frenzy. Yuji and Yuta ducked and dodged, their movements were fluid and precise.

While mainly Yuta was distracting the curse, Yuji managed to land another hit though this too was pointless. The skin of this curse was so tough that the curse tool in his hand was useless.

Yuji couldn't do anything but grit his teeth seeing he was pretty much useless in this fight. Compared to him, Yuta was fair way better. 

Yuta on the other hand was trying to find a way around this curse spirit's healing factor. Actually, he already had one, using RCT in its raw form alone will do the trick, like how he uses it against those lesser curses. 

But Gojo said not to. Saying that he can use the reverse curse technique was one thing, after all there are many who can use RCT but being able to use that to fight directly is a completely different thing. 

So all Yuta could do was to use more of OFA and speed up, landing another powerful blow at the curse.

The blow caused the creature to stagger, but it recovered almost instantly, its eyes burning with rage.

Yuta, using the brief respite, channelled more of One For All into his fists going almost up to 25%. He knew they needed to push the curse to its limits if he wanted him to stop healing. With a powerful leap, dash at the spirit, aiming a devastating punch at the Finger Bearer's head. 

But that was when something happened. 

Curse energy came out of the spirit's body as golden energy appeared on his hands. Yuta's senses immediately alarmed him.

"Yuji, back up!" Yuta shouted but it was already too late. This was an almost point-blank attack which Yuta wasn't ready for.

BOOM.

Both Yuji and Yuta were thrown at the wall and destroyed it, going past the wall to the other side, making them feel dizzy and pain ran out in their entire body.

Yuta was the first one to get back up on his feet, and before he could even ask how Yuji was fairing, he saw the spirit preparing the same kind of energy attack as the previous one. 

"SHIT." 

"We can't let him do that again!" Yuji shouted, charging forward again.

"NO, you idiot. Don't' charge at him." Yuta shouted but even he couldn't do anything as the attack was almost near them. 

Gritting his teeth, Yuta couldn't do anything but back off, getting as far as the energy attack as possible. While Yuji instead of dodging the attack chose to confront it. 

'Idiot.' 

BOOM...

Yuta saw Yuji getting plastered on the wall, completely bloodied and injured at this point.

"Yuji you alright ?" Yuta asked but no reply. 

'He's knocked out. Damn, now I have to even protect his unconscious body. Man. Just hope that Sukuna doesn't take over.'

Yuta pursed his lips at this but at the same time, its was also for the good. Because now he can finally use more of his powers.
