The following day, David sat in his office, trying to focus on his work. He rubbed his temples, feeling the weight of his troubles pressing down on him. The door opened, and Natasha walked in, her expression serious.

Without looking up, he said, "Don't start with whatever drama you've come to display. It's still morning, and I'm in no mood for it. I've taken enough from Nikki lately."

Natasha managed a cool smile and dropped a stack of files and documents on his desk. "These are the business projects and proposals. I'm dropping them."

David looked up, surprised. "Why?"

She took a brief pause before continuing, "I'm leaving. To Paris."

His brows creased slightly as he rose from his chair. "You're serious?"

She nodded, stepping closer. "David, I'm serious. I realized we don't have a future together, and it's understandable. I'm sorry I tried forcing you to be with me."
