Valerie ran out of options, but she wasn't ready to go down without trying. Covering Aurora with her form, they both disappeared instantly, appearing in front of the house, but the sound of the bomb was loud enough to wake Aurora.
She panicked when she saw her house in flames, not realizing that she was outside of it. "Save me, save me," she began to scream. Valerie frowned a little and went to comfort her.
"Be still, Aurora, you are safe."
Aurora froze when she heard Valerie's voice. Could this whole thing be a dream? The last thing she remembered was seeing the time bomb at thirty minutes and shutting her eyes to lure in sleep.
She had given up hope, waiting to die but also unwilling to look it in the eyes, so she only prayed for sleep to steal her before the bomb went off. But as she tried to move her hand, it was restricted, so she could not pinch herself to confirm if she was still in a dreamland or in reality.
