Chapter 204: Sif's Three Missions, "Afterlife" Under Attack!

Since it was a niece-in-law's visit, there was, of course, no reason to turn her away. Clark immediately had the breeze invite her in.

Upon meeting, the Asgardian goddess immediately bowed respectfully to Clark and then said, "Mr. Clark, I need your help."

This lady was really not shy about asking for help.

Clark smiled slightly and casually asked, "From the look of it, are you in some kind of trouble?"

Sif shook her head in distress and said, "I don't remember."

Then she quickly added, "I just know that I came to Earth with a very important mission, but what exactly it is, and how I came to Earth, I can't remember at all."

So, the goddess has amnesia?

Nodding, Clark directly said, "In simple terms, it can still be categorized as a mental issue. I have a similar patient here; you should also join him for treatment."

Thus, Sif was also stuffed by Clark into the room where Calvin was, to listen to music together.

Ten minutes later, Sif rushed out of the room, having regained her usual spirit.

Returning to the living room, Sif once again bowed to Clark to thank him, and then seriously said, "Mr. Clark, my mission to Earth carries three important tasks!"

Three important missions? Was Odin planning to make a concerted effort?

At his age, he also wanted to start stirring up various events? After having Sif sit down, she immediately said, "Firstly, Heimdall discovered a team of Kree coming to Earth, and I was sent to find out why. My amnesia was caused during a battle with the Kree, but they did not kill me."

That's expected.

The Kree, though warlike, are not mindless brutes who only know how to rush in blindly.

For formidable enemies, they definitely would not provoke them lightly.

Asgard, or rather its combined combat power, is much lesser than one of the universe's three great empires, the Kree, but Odin alone is enough to instill fear in them.

In the "Captain Marvel" story, they acted quite orderly on Earth, not so much because of their own quality, but rather out of respect for Odin, or more accurately, out of fear! Unless absolutely necessary, they would never kill an Asgardian.

Because if they did, with Odin's temper, he would definitely make them pay a price they couldn't afford! But what exactly the Kree squad came to Earth for, could it be because of the activation of the Kree temple and Skye's successful transformation and acquisition of abilities?

In the TV series, it seemed only one person came, but this time they directly sent a team, what exactly do they want to do? After nodding to show he understood, Clark then asked Sif, "What about the other two tasks?"

"The second task," Sif said with a hint of embarrassment, "An Asgardian prisoner, Lorelei, escaped from prison during the chaos Loki caused previously. After the turmoil in Asgard was settled, she fled to Earth."

"Lorelei's ability is very dangerous." Speaking of her ability, Sif's eyes showed a very serious expression: "She can control men through touch and sound. 600 years ago, she caused a catastrophe that swept across the Nine Realms with her ability."

Pausing for a moment, she added, "The only weakness of Lorelei's ability is that it doesn't work on women, which is why His Majesty sent me alone to Earth."

Hearing Sif say this, Skye was surprised, "You're not talking about Norse mythology, are you?"

Clark patted her shoulder and explained, "In fact, the Thor who came before is the Thor from Norse mythology, and this beautiful woman in front of you, her name is Sif. You can think of them as gods, or you can think of them as aliens."

Then, Clark turned to Sif and asked, "Wasn't the Bifrost always personally controlled by Heimdall, how did she manage to run to Earth?"

I remember the TV series explained that Lorelei escaped using Loki's secret passage.

If that's the case, then there are even more questions, how did she know about Loki's secret passage? Loki is so capable of causing trouble, is it because he was controlled by her?

However, Sif's answer was very straightforward: "Heimdall is also a man."

What a powerful reason!

Clark nodded, understanding. After all, Odin didn't dare to send Thor down, which shows that this sorceress's ability is enough to control beings of Thor's level, as for controlling Odin, there is no answer, but it's probably not possible.

After all, he is a Father-level being; if he could be controlled so easily, how could he deter the entire galaxy? This sorceress staying on Earth is definitely a disaster; she must be sent away.

After hearing two pieces of bad news, Clark was not looking forward to Sif's third mission.

Just as he was about to ask what the last piece of bad news was, Clark suddenly felt a surge of quantum energy fluctuate sharply in the room, and then saw Gordon, an Inhuman, appear out of nowhere, enveloped in a blue electric light.

Different from his last composed appearance, this time Gordon was in a sorry state, with no less than five or six wounds on his body, the most terrifying of which was a knife wound on his left shoulder, deep enough to see bone!

Blood had dyed most of his clothes red. As soon as he appeared, Gordon urgently said to Skye, "Skye, Afterlife has been attacked by the Kree and suffered heavy losses. We need your power!"

Skye was stunned for a moment and urgently asked, "What exactly happened?"

"Skye, now is not the time to look into the reasons." Clark, pressing down Skye who had just stood up, turned to Gordon and said, "Tell me the location of Afterlife."

"No!" Gordon stubbornly shook his head: "You are not one of our people; I only trust Skye!"

"Hmph!" Clark snorted disdainfully: "You think I want to meddle in your affairs? If it weren't for Skye, do you think I care whether you live or die? The Kree squad is not weak in combat, and I will not let Skye go on an adventure with you alone."

"As for the location of Afterlife, it's up to you to say or not. If not, just leave!"

Clark had no particular fondness for the Inhuman race.

This group was somewhat similar to the mutants in the X-Men, having isolated themselves from ordinary humans and formed a highly exclusionary race due to persecution.

Clark had no interest in warmly pursuing the cold treatment from such a race.

Your tragic experiences are not my doing, so why bother me? Gordon, choked by Clark's blunt words, finally bowed his head under the crisis of his people: "I can take you there with me."

"Your teleportation ability doesn't work on me." Of course, Clark wouldn't tell him that he was wary of anything related to the quantum field, but simply took out his phone and threw it to him, saying, "Your location must have a device that can block communication signals. After you go back, turn it off. I will track this phone's signal and bring Skye and the others there as soon as possible."

"Teleportation ability is not unique to you."

Holding Clark's phone, Gordon hesitated for a moment.

Then, Clark continued leisurely, "As for what to do specifically, you can think about it slowly. After all, I'm not in a hurry, since the ones under attack are not my people."

"Fine!"

Thinking that without external help, the entire Inhuman race might be wiped out by the Kree, Gordon finally made a decision.

The next moment, the quantum energy surged, and Gordon disappeared into thin air.

Seeing this, Sif couldn't help but turn to Clark and say, "Their abilities, once used for evil, will be very dangerous."

Clark nodded slightly and replied, "The Inhuman race is also a descendant of Earthlings; this is our own matter on Earth. I will handle it properly."

His words were diplomatic, but the meaning was clear to Sif.

Regardless of whether the Inhuman race's abilities are dangerous, it's our own matter on Earth, whether to kill or to keep, I decide freely, without needing Asgardians to interfere!

Sif, of course, felt uncomfortable hearing these words, but she could only pretend not to notice the deeper meaning.

After all, from the power Clark had shown before, now the entire Asgard might only have Odin and Thor who could suppress him, or perhaps even Thor could not!

And whether it's Odin or Thor, they both owed Clark a big favor; naturally, they wouldn't turn against him over such irrelevant matters.

So, Sif could only choose to let it be, just like what Odin had instructed before her departure.

"Regarding my little brother here, you must maintain sufficient respect."

As they spoke, the breeze had already located Clark's phone signal, and using S.H.I.E.L.D.'s surveillance satellites, locked onto that place's imagery and projected it in real time. Clark directly opened a portal and arrived at this mysterious gathering place of the Inhuman race.

The place where Clark and others appeared was a secluded corner of "Afterlife," his phone lying on the ground nearby, surrounded by a scene of shocking ruins, far from the idyllic paradise it should have been.

"This is 'Afterlife,' no doubt!" Skye immediately confirmed the authenticity of this location, then anxiously said, "Oh my god, my mother, and the others, where have they gone, and Gordon is also missing!"

At that moment, Clark slowly levitated, turning his gaze to lock onto a group of people in the square.

There were more than twenty captives with Earthling appearances, being pointed at by three blue-skinned aliens, huddled on the ground in the center of the square, evidently having become prisoners.

It seems the attackers' goal was not to annihilate the Inhuman race but to capture them alive.
