Chapter 210: Pursue if Interested

Although only eighteen and still showing the naivety of a young girl, Gal Gadot always maintained sufficient caution due to her upbringing and education. During their previous discussion, she indeed overlooked other aspects out of interest, but now, she realized that it was Murphy who deliberately found a topic she was interested in and led the conversation.

Holding her glass, Gal Gadot drank slowly, her eyes constantly sizing up the person opposite her.

Without a doubt, this young Hollywood director had an appealing appearance. His tall and robust physique, combined with his rugged facial features, naturally exuded confidence. Beneath his calm exterior, there seemed to lurk a fierce aura, as if a ferocious beast was hiding under the guise of a director.

Growing up in Israel, Gal Gadot had no interest in pretty boys; it was the strong men that matched their aesthetic.

Despite appearing like a 'vase', her heart was not one.

"I'm not currently interested in Hollywood," Gal Gadot continued the topic, "After the beauty pageant, I plan to return to Israel for university."

Murphy could obviously understand the hint in her words. Gal Gadot was essentially telling him that she would soon return to Israel and was not interested in people or things in America.

Murphy pretended not to understand, "May I ask which major interests you?"

"Law..." Gal Gadot replied casually, "Apart from physical training, I'm most interested in law and plan to study it at university."

"The law program at the University of California, Berkeley, is famous worldwide," Murphy seemed to be just offering a suggestion, "Many renowned legal experts in the U.S. have studied there."

"Thank you for the suggestion," Gal Gadot smiled slightly, "But I prefer to stay in Israel."

She glanced at her watch, "It's getting late. I should head back to the hotel, or I'll be late for tomorrow's training."

"How did you get here?" Murphy quickly asked.

She probably didn't drive herself here.

As expected, Gal Gadot replied, "Uncle Avi Nir's driver brought me."

During their conversation, she stood up, and Murphy quickly did the same, "I'm also about to leave. How about I give you a ride back?"

"That would be too much trouble," Gal Gadot declined, shaking her head, "No need."

"Well... okay..." Murphy said, "Gal, may I have the honor of knowing your contact information?"

"Sorry," Gal Gadot politely refused, "I don't have a phone here."

Murphy persisted, "What about your hotel's number?"

Seeing Murphy's sincere smile, Gal Gadot hesitated, then took out a hotel card from her purse and handed it to Murphy, "If you need to contact me, ask the reception to transfer to room 701."

Murphy received it and stored it carefully. Gal Gadot waved at him, "Goodbye, Murphy."

"Goodbye, Gal." Murphy responded with a smile.

As Gal Gadot walked towards the area where Avi Nir was, Murphy watched her tall, slender figure until she disappeared into the crowd.

"Looks like Murphy's found his second spring!" James Franco's lazy voice came from behind, "She's really pretty. Except for being a bit small in the chest, it's hard to find other flaws."

"Hmm! And she even gave Murphy her contact information," this voice belonged to Robert Downey Jr., "Seems like she has a good impression of Murphy."

Robert Downey Jr. stepped forward, patting Murphy's shoulder, "If you're interested, go for it. Don't hesitate!"

Only their close friends knew that Murphy's previous relationship had indeed affected him negatively. The best way to get over a failed relationship is to start a new one.

James Franco also came over, "Need me to teach you?"

Murphy flipped him off, "You keep that to yourself."

In this regard, Murphy indeed lacked experience. He had used almost all his skills earlier, but even so, he couldn't resort to James Franco's unreliable methods, especially since Gal Gadot was not a minor.

"In fact, when pursuing a girl, don't use novel methods. That'll only scare them," Robert Downey Jr. seemed to have rich experience in this area, his arm around Murphy's shoulder, "The methods passed down are proven by countless experiences. Sending flowers, dining, shopping, watching movies - I assure you with my personal experience, these are effective."

Continuing, he added, "Also, occasionally giving little gifts that girls like works even better."

Robert Downey Jr. patted Murphy's shoulder, "Look, you have the physique, the looks, and you're young and wealthy. Chasing girls should be easy for you."

"Downey is right!" James Franco agreed unusually, "Murphy, I have faith in you!"

Although Murphy had a previous love experience, he didn't know much about pursuing girls. After listening to their ramblings, he asked, "So, should I start with sending flowers?"

"First send ninety-nine roses," Robert Downey Jr. suggested, "Then keep increasing. Choose a suitable time, like during her Miss Universe training, and send 9999 roses. Let her gain face in front of her peers. Women love this kind of thing. I guarantee, Murphy, she'll surrender to you soon."

"Is it really that effective?" Murphy doubted the reliability of Robert Downey Jr.'s suggestion, "Have you tried it?"

"Of course!" Robert Downey Jr. confidently said, "That's how I won over Indio's mother."

Murphy turned to James Franco, who nodded in agreement, seemingly endorsing Robert Downey Jr.'s words.

"By the way," James Franco suddenly asked, "Which country's Miss Universe is she?"

"Israel," Murphy answered.

"Jewish?"

James Franco's eyes moved past Murphy to Robert Downey Jr., who also seemed surprised, "Miss Universe from Israel?"

This seemed a bit tricky.

Murphy didn't notice their reactions and said, "I'm heading back now. Are you coming? We can go together."

"You go ahead," Robert Downey Jr. and James Franco both shook their heads, "You have work tomorrow, we don't."

The wine and women here could make anyone linger.

After saying goodbye to Avi Nir, the party's host, Murphy left the luxurious mansion where the party was held, drove out of Beverly Hills, and returned home. The first thing he did was ask his agent Grace, responsible for life and public relations, to contact a florist to send flowers to the hotel on the card the next morning.

After that, Murphy quickly washed up and went to bed. Like he said, he had a lot of work to do the next day.

The post-production of "Sin City" was in its final stages, and Murphy needed to review the work of every department, from editing to sound effects to music to voice acting. He also needed to scrutinize the completed parts to identify any shortcomings, aiming to make the film as perfect as possible.

Of course, there's no such thing as a perfect movie in this world.

For "Sin City," perfection meant concentrating all satisfying elements at one point. Is that moment or point perfect? When the violence in the camera reaches its peak, can it be called perfect?

In Murphy's understanding, the most perfect violence in a film is numbness, a redefinition of life.
