Chapter 1688: Bruce Wayne and the Magic Stone (Part 3)_1

"Err, someone came out of the blue to warn us of danger, so my parents and I moved to another city. Not long after that, a giant bat flew to our house, it almost scared my mom to death."

"My dad found something on the bat's leg, so we received a letter, a Batman puppet, and a Bat badge. We thought it was a prank from a bat enthusiast."

"But the person who came to warn me that day, hmm, he might or might not be him, anyhow, he said he was my future self, and that this was an admission notice from the Magic Academy, asking me to definitely go, and insisting I choose that Rodriguez College or what's it called?"

"What he said is so true!" Harley slapped Barry's back and said: "You must listen to him, this college is amazing!"

Barry looked at Harley with some skepticism. Harley snorted and asked, "I mean it, let's put it this way, are you interested in tinkering with machinery, brewing potions and doing some repairs?"

"Tinkering with machinery? You mean like fixing cars? Honestly, I don't really like it, I don't enjoy the smell of engine oil."

"Then you absolutely can't go to Zatara College, well, the one with the purple flag. The smell of the magical potion ingredients there will drive you crazy."

"Really?" Barry immediately furrowed his brows, then said, "True, I don't really like purple anyway."

"Do you like gold?"

"This I do quite like."

"Do you like punching and fighting others?"

"Err, better not, fighting is not good. My parents always tell me to be understanding towards others and not to get into conflicts."

"Then you can't go to Strange College, although their flag is gold and quite nice to look at, but that place is full of violent people who go to the arena to fight every day."

"Oh dear, that place really doesn't suit me."

"So, do you think you have political talent? Have you ever tried giving a speech in front of thousands of people?"

"Oh God, I wouldn't dare!" Barry immediately seemed somewhat nervous. He pulled at the hem of his shirt, then said, "So many people, how can I even open my mouth? Even if it's just a few people, I still feel embarrassed to express my views. What if I am wrong?"

"Then Wayne College is not for you. Just by the name of this college you can tell, those who go there definitely want to do business in the future or want to be politicians running for president or something."

"God, is that my only choice then?" Barry looked a little disappointed, but Harley quickly nudged him with her elbow and said, "Haven't you ever wondered why your future self would suggest you choose this college? It must be because he chose it and found it to be very good, which is why he advised you. Maybe you have an exceptional talent in this area?"

"Hmm, that makes sense." Barry nodded, feeling that Harley's words did have some truths.

At this moment, Kane coughed twice behind them, reminding them, "The freshmen welcoming ceremony is about to begin, Mr. Allen, you better hurry."

Harley gently pushed Barry forward. Barry walked nervously towards the front, quickly mingling in amongst the younger-looking children marching forward.

Seated in the back row, Harley heard people gossiping next to her, "Look at that child, Oh God, he's so adorable! His profile looks just like a doll's."

"Is he a freshman? Which college will he go to? Wait, he's turning around, hurry go, hurry go, we could see his front face, maybe even get a picture."

"Oh, God, why are his eyes so blue?... Wait, doesn't he look like someone???"

"Sss..."

Several gasps sounded from behind Harley. Harley was a bit puzzled and followed their gazes, then she saw an oddly out-of-place figure among the freshmen.

Firstly, he wasn't dressed like the rest of the kids. As it happened to be summer in the northern hemisphere, the vast majority of kids were in short-sleeved shirts and shorts, a few more particular ones wearing thin shirts and overalls, but this boy was in a very standard child's suit. And judging from Harley's taste for luxury goods, this outfit could probably buy an entire street in the East District.

Secondly, his hair color was quite rare, cold carbon black. Most whites who had black hair leaned towards warm browns, and yet his hair was exceptionally neat and tidy.

Lastly, his expression differed from the majority of the kids, too: the rest of the freshmen were either nervous or excited, but this boy appeared expressionless and aloof, unaffected by the reactions of his surroundings.

Harley became curious, so she moved a few seats to see the boy's front face from a better angle, and the moment she saw it, she couldn't help but exclaim, "Bullshit!"

But it wasn't to say that the boy's front face was unattractive. On the contrary, he was as cute as an angel.

The only problem was that he looked almost identical to Bruce Wayne.
