Yvonne put her arms on the table and leaned forward. "Should I thank you for trying to help me?"
Javier also leaned forward; their faces were inches apart. "It is up to you. But just let me do the job, while you focused on another thing."
Yvonne smiled and leaned back. "Let me continue reading the contract,"
Javier nodded. "Okay,"
As Yvonne continued reading the contract, Javier looked at her with a smile playing on his lips. He couldn't believe that the person who he thought was dead was still alive.
He couldn't help but think about what's the purpose of her coming close to him, knowing that he may find out anytime soon.
Is she still angry with him for what she heard?
What was her life for the past six years?
Yvonne looked up from the contract. "Are you listening to what I was reading?"
Javier nodded. "Let me ask you a hypothetical question,"
"What is it?" she asked.
