Stunned by her request, Javier leaned forward. "You got a new place?" 

Yvonne nodded. "Yes, I have," she said. "The place is nearer to the company, and the neighborhood seems like a safe place." 

Javier raised her chin. "You're the one that needs protection, and yet you want me to stay at your place. Isn't that absurd?" 

Yvonne removed his hands from her chin. "That day when my daughter stays at your place; your child seems to be very hostile to me, and I don't want to put my daughter in that type of hostility." 

Javier was confused. "What daughter? I don't remember having a daughter." 

"I don't think it is right for you to lie to me," she said. "You should have just told me you have a daughter, and then maybe I should have been careful around you." 

Javier was all the more confused. He never had a daughter? What is she talking about? 

As he was thinking, his mind went to Esther. "Are you talking about Esther?"
