In an attempt to fix things with Alonso, Natalie went back to the mansion armed with candles, cake, and caramel popcorn. She started with the mission of preparing a cozy picnic in the summer garden, but as the temperature dropped with each passing hour, the allure of the winter garden's closed space became more inviting and less likely to cause stomach cramps.
"This will do!" she cheered herself on, pushing past the nervous butterflies in her stomach.
Maybe it was her guilt or the fact that Alonso hadn't called her back, but Natalie felt extra happy with the work she did. Her eyes scanned the candles she had set up between Alonso's usual parking spot and the winter garden making sure the twinkling lights would lead him to her.
She smiled thinking about his reaction. If he's in love with the colors I bring to his life; he'll definitely love this.
