The Mafia King

Zhao villa.

"Sis!"

A certain pair of feet ran towards Jia and jumped in her embrace. "Sis, I missed you!"

Jia chuckled, patting her younger sister's head. "We live in the same city, Lihua."

Lihua pouted, hugging her tighter. "I still miss you. You are so busy these days. It feels like I hardly see you anymore…Limei and Weiyun miss their Aunt so much too!"

"Ahhh I miss my nephew and niece a lot too!" Jia released a troubled sigh. "But what can I do? Ever since I joined the police force back, things have been a lot busier. I have become quite rusty because of my six-month long coma. I have a lot to catch up on."

A devilish voice sounded from the back. "Who dares say that your skills have become rusty? The bruises on my handsome face vehemently protest against your claim, my dear."

Lihua's brow twitched.

Why is that psycho doctor here!

"Hahaha," Lihua pointed at his face. "What happened to your face? You deserve it!"

Mingshen smiled, rubbing the corner of his lips where he had received a fiery punch from Jia. "Don't laugh too much, little chilli. It might rupture your important brain nerves which you are quite lacking already. Please don't destroy the rest of the barely functioning ones, okay?"

"Yang Mingshen…" Lihua's fists trembled with anger. "Why do you always have to humiliate my intelligence!?"

"Because there is nothing else to praise you for."

"..."

"It's only your lovesick husband who sees God knows what merit in you."

"..."

The sound of knuckles cracking echoed in the air. "Seems like I am still not done decorating your face," Jia's gaze shone with threat.

Lihua harrumphed. "Don't waste your energy on him, sis. I know he likes me a lot. He just doesn't want to accept it."

Mingshen gave her a disdainful glance. "Have you hit your head somewhere?"

"Hmph! If you don't like me then what will you say about sending Bojing to protect me when I was kidnapped by Jiang Zhen?"

The last descendant of the vicious Jiang family, Jiang Zhen, had kidnapped Lihua and waged a war on Zhao Wei to usurp his Mafia King's title. He had trapped her in his house for a few months but it was thanks to Bojing's protection that Lihua was always safe.

"Heh," Folding her hands at her back, she leaned and teasingly smiled, "You sent him as my neighbor to keep an eye on me when I was pregnant and to protect me if I am ever in danger. If that's not how you show your concern then I wonder what else it was~?"

Mingshen smiled and flicked on her forehead.

"Ouch! That hurt!"

"What did I say about your lacking brain cells before? If not for me, would you have been able to protect yourself especially with two kids in your belly?"

She flared her nostrils. "You are not honest at all, are you?" She peeked left and right. "Where is Bojing? I thought he was with you."

Jia said, "He went back to return the bike he stole."

"..."

Lihua gasped. "My cute Bojing can never steal! Yang Mingshen, what are you teaching him!?"

Mingshen sat on the couch like a king and smirked. "I usually teach him important stuff like how the world works and how to make it work FOR you."

Lihua felt like she shouldn't be prying further but curiousity got the best of her. "What do you do to achieve the latter?"

"Scalpel is a wonderful tool you know~ It works like magic," he shone, "You dig it into any part of your body and somehow, things magically start to work in your favor."

"..."

I shouldn't have asked.

The air suddenly changed as a pair of boots tapped against the floor in elegance and a tall, handsome figure came into Jia's view. His gorgeous face was as if God had personally carved it with His own hands, leaving no room for even a speck of fault to be found in his perfect features.

Such was the existence of the Mafia King, Zhao Wei.

On the other side, Yang Mingshen's aura and appearance resembled to that of a Demon Lord who would casually sit atop a pile dead bodies with an arrogant smirk on his lips. With his attractive face, he carried a wicked charm which was impossible to turn a blind eye to.

Even though both belonged to the dark Underworld, one looked like a gentle prince and the other, a dangerous villain.

Lihua's eyes shut themselves with too much brilliance before her.

Two gorgeous men in the same room and even after almost two years have passed, my heart still cannot take this overdose of beauty…

Mingshen sneered. "You are drooling, little chilli. Control yourself or people might think that you married your husband only for his looks."

"..."

"Rumors might spread that you are after me too, and I absolutely don't want to get myself entangled in any sort of a rumor with your not so intellectual species."

"..."

Lihua ran into her husband's hug. "Wei! Mingshen is bullying me!"

Wei's gaze softened at his wife. "Should I shut down all his hospitals?"

Nobody would believe that with the reputation of Wei as the Mafia King, a man like him would be a super doting husband who always followed his wife.

Mingshen snorted. "Bring it on. Let's see if you pull a bulldozer over my hospitals or I empty your bank accounts first."

"Ishen!"

Two heads popped out from behind Wei's legs that sparked upon meeting Jia and Mingshen.

"Aiyoo my adorable nephew and niece!" Jia bent on her knees and kissed on the top of their heads.

"Jia…" Little Weiyun flung his arms towards her, adorably asking for a hug.

Jia wanted to faint.

Ah…it feels like I just got recharged…

Wei and Lihua's twin children, Zhao Weiyun and Zhao Limei, were more than a year old now and the apple of everybody's eyes in the Zhao villa. With their cuteness overload, they had already successfully won the hearts of everybody working in the Zhao Industries and the Underworld.

While Weiyun was basking in the warmth of his Aunt's embrace, his twin sister, Limei slowly trotted towards Mingshen.

She looked into his eyes with a smile as bright as the sun. "Ishen!"
