"I like music, fighting, and watching TV."
"I don't like hitting women, nor do I like eating cold food, something I used to do all the time when I was with my uncle."
"I can fight; the only thing I know how to do well is fight."
Terry Silver listened repeatedly to the recordings he had secretly made of Danny and nodded with satisfaction, knowing he had a highly skilled fighter on his hands. Danny didn't lack experience in fights, and on top of that, he was at his peak human capabilities.
Having searched in the right places, he soon discovered that Danny, better known on the streets as Danny the Dog, was taken in by a cruel usurer who became his so-called uncle. According to information from numerous reliable sources, from a young age, Danny was trained like a dog to be the perfect fighting machine and bodyguard, only attacking when the metal collar around his neck was removed.
But after retaliation from a client, Danny ended up on the streets, homeless and family-less. After being taken in by a family, he eventually learned to be a normal person, even becoming part of their home and managing to leave his turbulent past behind.
Still, later on, his uncle Bart, who returned from the dead, caused a lot of trouble, and after Bart finally died in a shootout, Daniel distanced himself from that family. "Uncle really created a true monster." Terry sighed, seeing all the information that was simply unbelievable.
Bart, a ruthless usurer residing in Glasgow, used his bodyguard, Danny, to attack clients who didn't meet their payments. This normally didn't happen, but on occasion, it was necessary for his dog to attack to recover the payments owed.
At the young age of fifteen, Danny became a violently skilled fighter who attacked relentlessly, marking his targets yesterday. However, once the collar was put back on, Danny became docile and harmless. As a result, he had very little knowledge of how to act as a socialized person, and it was known that the collar trick had stopped working.
Terry Silver discovered that Bart's death was caused when a criminal boss approached him with a business deal, offering Bart a lot of money in exchange for Danny winning monthly death matches held in an underground wrestling ring. However, after Danny easily won the first fight, Bart fell out with another mobster, and he was declared dead after a shootout.
Danny survived and took refuge in an antique warehouse, where he passed out due to his injuries. Sam, a blind piano tuner, took him to his home. It was known that Sam had a daughter named Victoria, who took care of Danny until he learned to be more civilized. Interestingly, he also developed a love for music, which was Terry's specialty, and Terry offered to teach Danny.
A few hours later, Terry walked into the kitchen where Danny was looking at the piano in the living room and said, "I heard you like music, especially pianos. Do you want me to teach you how to play?"
"Can I learn?" Danny didn't think Terry would be so kind; after the incident with his uncle, he didn't trust people.
Terry nodded and said, "You know I adopted you as my son, but I won't demand anything from you. That was a personal choice I made, so from now on, you will live in my house."
"Yes, this will be my home," Danny said, nodding.
Terry smiled and said, "I decided not to have excessive staff so you don't feel nervous, but I did hire several teachers who will slowly show you how to socialize."
"Yes!"
"I'll also open a dojo." You can train there without really harming people. There will be competitions, but it's never with the intention to harm but to teach. You'll understand after some time." Terry had a keen sense for finding talented disciples, and when he heard about Danny, he knew he had his champion.
