Chapter 14: An Unexpected Invitation

Cecilia's POV

"My lady, you won't believe who is outside waiting for you." Anna looked extremely excited as she rushed into my chamber.

I finished arranging my clothes, I rolled my eyes at her as I approached the table.

"Who could that be? I just arrived here and have no friends." I scoffed.

"It's… Alpha Denver." She spilled and unintentionally, my eyes widened.

"Really?" I thought I didn't miss him. I thought without him, I could stay and forget about everything but I was lying to myself.

My wolf was excited to hear his name and I felt rejuvenated.

"Wh… where is he?" I stammered nervously.

"I already prepared the garden, he is waiting for you there." She smiled happily.

I gave a last look at the portrait mirror, and added another touch of the lip gloss before leaving to the garden.
