Nonsense! Don't even think about asking Zane to give up the benefits he's already enjoyed, even though Zane doesn't care about it. But being able to see Tony get a taste of his own medicine makes him quite happy. I guess you could call it Zane's little twisted pleasure!
Meanwhile, Stane, who faked his death, isn't feeling as good as Zane at the moment. Not to mention that Tony discovering his own conspiracy resulted in all the resources he had painstakingly accumulated over thirty years going down the drain. Now he's even trapped in Hydra, this damn organization.
Hydra had approached Stane a long time ago, but at that time, Stane, who was riding high as the head of Stark Industries, wasn't willing to join Hydra, such an underground organization. Hydra was formidable, with branches all over the world, but it didn't operate in the light!
So, Stane, who was enjoying his success back then, flatly refused without hesitation. But times change, and now, if it weren't for the fact that he still had some connections and influence valued by Hydra, he would probably have spent the rest of his life in prison.
Once out of prison, Stane, with Hydra's resource support, didn't immediately seek revenge on Tony. Instead, he aimed to wipe out the so-called Ten Rings.
If they hadn't betrayed their principles and shot Tony Stark on the spot, there wouldn't be so much trouble now.
If the Ten Rings had kept their agreement, Stane would have already reconsolidated Stark Industries, dominating the American arms industry, and reached the peak of his life!
So Stane was eager to wipe out those ignorant hicks. What era was it anyway? Still dreaming of conquering the world like Genghis Khan? They should take a good look at themselves first!
With his appearance, he could probably become the leader of a terrorist organization, which would already be the pinnacle of his life.
Stane immediately led a group of men with great momentum straight to Afghanistan.
Upon reaching the Ten Rings' rudimentary camp, without a word, he ordered his heavily armed men to open fire.
The poorly equipped and unprepared members of the Ten Rings quickly became lifeless bodies, leaving only the leader, Raza, pressed to the ground in front of Stane, who then rudely shoved sand into his mouth.
Stane, who had remained calm throughout, couldn't suppress his emotions upon seeing Raza's face and kicked him in the face without hesitation.
"I gave you intelligence, gave you weapons, only asking you to do one thing, kill Tony Stark."
"But you, ignorant hick, coveted what? Jericho missiles, and in the end, you let Tony escape! You even let him figure out that you were acting under my orders!"
Using his brand-new shoes, Stane rubbed the head of the Ten Rings' leader against the sandy ground, then took the pistol handed to him by his subordinate, aiming it at the man's head, and through gritted teeth, said:
"In your next life, I hope you're not so stupid, you monkey."
Just as Stane was about to pull the trigger to end Raza's life, a single sentence from Raza made Stane pause.
"Don't you want to know how Tony Stark escaped?" Raza, with blood and sand on his face, roared loudly, afraid that Stane wouldn't hear him.
"I'll give you one minute. If you can't give me a satisfactory reason, I'll show you that death is something worth longing for." Stane holstered his gun and said in a cold tone.
In fact, Stane was also curious about how Tony escaped. How could one person possibly fight against dozens of armed terrorists? Now, hearing Raza's words, there seemed to be more to it than meets the eye.
Raza breathed a sigh of relief, glad to have temporarily saved his own life. He struggled to swallow a mouthful of saliva, stood up, and said to Stane.
"Follow me."
With that, Raza walked into the central tent of the camp, and Stane, not afraid of any tricks, followed with two of his men.
After lifting the oil-stained curtain of the tent, Stane saw a broken humanoid mech, which was the Mark 1 created by Tony in the lab.
"Tony escaped using this?" Stane pointed to the Mark 1.
Raza nodded, confirming Stane's suspicions.
"You mean he built this thing right under your noses? It seems that cooperating with you was the biggest mistake of my life."
Stan said incredulously, unable to believe it. After speaking, he couldn't contain his anger and fired a shot at Raza's thigh.
Raza screamed and fell to the ground, clutching his wound tightly, but blood still gushed between his fingers.
Stan was now seriously questioning life. How blind must someone be to allow their captive to build a suit of steel armor right under their noses!
"If you spare me this time, I'll give you the design of this iron armor." Raza gritted his teeth against the pain, propping himself up and said.
Seeing that Stane showed no intention of continuing to shoot, Raza, with a peculiar thought process, subconsciously thought that he had moved Stane. Then he continued passionately:
"After that, I'll help you kill Tony Stark, and you'll become the head of Stark Industries. Similarly, you'll have to supply me with a batch of iron armor."
The more Raza spoke, the more excited he became. In the end, he even exposed his ridiculous ambition without any reservation, as if Stane had already agreed to his laughable deal.
Facing Raza's words, Stane, who had been keeping a straight face, suddenly smiled. At this moment, he understood completely.
He understood why he had ended up in this situation today. In fact, it wasn't Raza's fault at all. If anyone was to blame, it was himself for having such a pig teammate. He really didn't know how he ended up choosing them in the first place.
Seeing Stane smile, Raza thought he had already agreed to his deal and smiled back, his eyes filled with the light of ambition.
