Chapter 162: The Dragon Queen

The thick smoke over the Dothraki Sea gradually dissipated, and the scorching heat on the scorched earth slowly subsided.

However, the tens of thousands of Dothraki warriors still knelt on the ground, not daring to make a move.

They feared the young man in the scorched earth because he had transformed from a dragon, a dragon that had devoured their Khals with dragon flames, turning all the warriors into charcoal, and killing anyone who dared to escape.

These warriors of the grasslands could only kneel on both knees now, waiting for judgment.

However, the young man transformed from a dragon did not care about these warriors who could sweep across the entire Dothraki Sea.

His attention was entirely focused on the girl in front of him.

For Daenerys, this was a frightening yet extremely new experience.

In the past, she was a timid and insecure little girl, her life was only about exile, and she was heavily reliant on her brother Viserys, who was a cruel, rough-speaking, easily angered, and violent person.

She had always been drifting with the current, always a subordinate to others, never truly valued.

However, even so, there was still a belief in her heart.

She was a descendant of the true dragons, carrying the blood of Aegon the Conqueror, and one day she would reclaim Westeros and sit on the Iron Throne.

Now, she had been engulfed in dragon flames, including her brother, who thought himself to be a true dragon, the powerful Khal Drogo of the Dothraki, as well as Illyrio Mopatis, who was rich and had always treated her as a political pawn.

They were all consumed by dragon flames, yet she emerged unscathed.

And now, the terrifying dragon had transformed into a boy, right in front of her, gazing at her.

She had never felt the arrival of destiny as deeply as she did today.

It felt like being chosen by some great existence.

Summoning up her courage, Daenerys lifted her head and looked at the boy in front of her, just as he was looking at her.

Then, she heard the greeting, heard the titles from the man's mouth.

The future Khaleesi of the Dothraki Sea, the destined ruler of Westeros, the Dragon Queen.

Was he... the fulfillment of my expectations? Or the future bestowed upon me by the gods?

Either way, Alaric's greeting in the Common Tongue of Westeros slightly calmed her emotions, even inexplicably giving her a sense of warmth, a tenderness she had never expected to find in this dragon.

Daenerys tightened the cloak draped over her, as if only this could give her a bit of courage.

"Hello... Alaric," she stuttered, but after the words came out, a sense of determination surged in her heart, prompting her to continue.

"Are you... a messenger sent by the gods?"

Daenerys's question almost amused Alaric, and he shook his head, denying it.

"I am not a messenger of any gods, nor will I ever be. I am a man, and also a dragon.

I represent only myself. I have come for destiny, guided by the blood of dragons, to stand before you."

"You've come here for destiny?" This made her somewhat uneasy. "Is it my destiny?"

"It's your destiny, as well as the destiny of this world." Alaric looked meaningfully into her violet eyes and said in a deep voice.

"Your destiny will be connected to this world, not just the Dothraki Sea, but also the Free Cities, the entire Essos, and even the Seven Kingdoms, and the entire Westeros.

Your destiny will be the destiny of this world. You will become the ruler of men and dragons, you will sit on the Iron Throne, and you will be crowned as queen.

"Me...?" Daenerys couldn't believe it.

Just half an hour ago, she was still being used as a tool for marriage with a barbarian leader, but now someone was promising her unprecedented power and status.

But miracles had just appeared before her eyes, the dragon that had reappeared after a hundred years, and the teenager transformed from a dragon.

This made her have to believe somewhat—this was her future destiny.

"Remember your lineage and your identity," Alaric reminded her lightly.

"Yes." Daenerys suddenly woke up, and fear and timidity immediately left her.

A pride originating from her blood surged within her, prompting her to speak with an unprecedented tone.

"I am the descendant of true dragons, I am Daenerys Stormborn, the princess of Dragonstone, carrying the blood of Aegon the Conqueror."
