Chapter 101 : Dragon Slayer 2

The ground started to shake and the temperature of the place increased. There was steam coming out of Orion's body as he glared down at the dragon 100 times his size.

[Is this because he ate fire] Merlin questioned himself as he was walking Orion's magic skyrocketed, he was honestly worried as he knew that only this happened when Orion used Internal Integration. A powerful technique but it works like a double-edged sword.

Although this technique makes his magic stronger with a back slash Orion permanently burns out a part of his magic. Making his magic weaker.

As the temperature rose, Orion's two fists caught on fire.

"You're dead meat, you damn lizard," He shouted and rush at the Dragon without even giving a second thought about it.

Merlin wanted to stop him but he wasn't listening to him at all. 

Orion became a firely blur as the fire in his hands was still burning with high-intensity fire while he was using Force movement with the help of Force Speed Technique.

With a zap, he covered half of the distance between him and the dragon. The dragon too snapped at this time and his huge mouth came to bite him. But Orion was much faster right now, the moment the huge head of the dragon came near him, Orion jumped up, using the fire in his hands like rocket boosters, lifting him even higher.

When the dragon finally snapped close to his mouth, he felt nothing between his jaw. He was planning on retreating but Orion had a different plan.

In the air, he was ready to deliver his attack.

"AHAAAAAAAA" With a mighty roar, Orion put all of his power in one of his fists as the fire on one hand extinguished while his right-hand fire got more intense, almost doubling in size.

Using the momentum of falling down, he punches right at the Dragon's retreating head.

"BOOOOOOOMMMMMMM," 

When the punch connected, it was almost like a small bomb went on, the firely explosion was enough to destroy the platform with multiple cracks and even Merlin doubted that the Dragon would be alive after such an attack.

But that was not the case, The dragon roared at this time, but it was due to pain as he staggered back with his head down, his forehead was blasted and blood was falling out from there.

Orion on the other hand had already calmed down. Merlin seeing Orion's magic still intact like he was earlier got even more confused now.

[I am sure he was using Internal Integration, why there is no sign?] 

Merlin was curious, so he flew closer to Orion and checked him out. 

And yes there was no magical degradation on him.

[Didn't you use Internal Integration, how come you are alright ?] Merlin asked.

Orion on the other hand was huffing and kneeling with his face down.

"I didn't absorb the fire, just use it directly against him," Orion said while still breathing heavily.

[One minute, what! you can do that. Since when ?] Merlin narrowed his eyes and asked with an astonish face.

"Since that damn lizard destroyed all my money, hope he is not dead, I have still much payback to give," Orion grunted with still anger flowing.

[Ah oh... about that

The pendant is not destroyed, its there] Merlin said and pointed in the direction where Orion first lost it.

Orion first didn't register what the old man said but when he did, he snapped his head with the speed of light toward the direction. Seeing the pendant intact, he was stunned but then overjoyed.

All the anger was forgotten and the bubbling magic inside him finally calmed down. He didn't waste even a second after that as he vanished from his place and snatched the pendant into his hand.

"Thank You, God. And thanks to whoever made this damn piece of jewellery so strong. I will never lose you again. PROMISE," Orion kissed the pendant with a disgusting face as snort and tears of happiness, relief and joy flow from his eyes and nose.

[Sometimes I wonder whether I did right choosing this guy as the saviour of the magical world] Merlin deadpan. But he was now more occupied with the two strange things Orion did while fighting with the dragon.

First, he sends out a spacious wave, something only those who are close to mastering the Law of Space can do. This shocked the hell out of Merlin. Did this kid really come this close to mastering one of the three major laws in just a year? 

But Merlin knew better, this happened because Orion was doing it unconsciously, in reality, it would still take him some time before he consciously used this law. 

Second was him using that dragon's magic against him, but he didn't absorb him but just more like channelled it and reflected it back. Merlin still now never seen any magic like this. 

No, it's not magic but pure magic control, but to this degree? If Orion can learn this, and master this then what he can't do on a battlefield? 

Merlin was speculating every aspect of what Orion just did in his fight while the boy himself finally again wore his precious pendant and had a megawatt smile on his face.

"Yes, I am still rich. A life of luxury and comfort awaits, just get the fu*k out of here," He mutters to himself shamelessly.

While both master and Student were musing inside their mind, another roar of the dragon finally brought them out of their thinking.

The dragon started to trash in pain. And started to create chaos.

"Woh woh woh, stop, not that," Orion shouted as the dragon hit the wall and many of the rocks started to fall on them. 

"Shit,"

[What are you waiting for, get the hell out of here] Merlin shouted as he too saw the dragon start to go berserk and making havoc, destroying the pillar which was holding that section of the dungeon. 

Orion didn't wait and with practice movement, he took out his broom and took off. He couldn't speed up as he was dodging and using force to block the falling rocks. 

[Oh boy, Orion gets going, that dragon is trying to break the chains] Merlin didn't care about the rock, nothing could touch him, perks of being a spirit. So he kept an eye on the dragon and shouted when he realised what that lizard was doing.

"What ?" Orion couldn't hear as he was busy avoiding the rocks and boulders. 

"Roar," An ear-piercing roar came which even made Orion look back, his eyes when wide like saucers. 

[Run Run Run] Merlin Shouted.

Orion says the dragon flying and coming directly at him with his huge mouth open. 

"FU*K," 

He increases his speed, still trying to avoid the falling rocks and boulders. 

Surely by this much commotion, those damn goblins must have figured out that something has happened, although Orion remove every trace of evidence from the site of the crime still, that is useless if he can't run away from here without getting caught. And now a motherfu*king dragon was on his trail.

[Oh here come the fire,] Merlin shouted, this time Orion heard him and increased his speed even further, there was no way a dumb dragon could be as fast as his broom, but that was only when he had a clear sky to accelerate, here raw speed is not that useful. 

Another fire breath was aimed at him, Orion feeling the fire on his back about to hit himself, did a complete 90-degree up.

Rushing up like a rocket, he got ready. Peeking back he also saw the dragon following him, and couldn't help but curse. 

Seeing the time right, he extended his hand back and said, "Lumos Maxima,".

A bright light appeared as Orion didn't hold back at all in that spell, illuminating the dungeon. This made The Dragon blind for a second or so, enough time for Orion to take action.

He stopped his broom and in mid-air he got out of his broom, storing it in his pendant again with expert movement and record-breaking speed.

And started to fall down and saw the open mouth of the dragon coming right at him, He will be dragon food if he mess up here.

"Work, Work Work,"
