Leo released a cold sneer as he hurriedly opened his eyes. In just a few minutes of waiting, he felt that nine out of the dozens of mortal puppets he released met their demise—being destroyed by an unknown force hidden deep within the different sections of the cavern.

Of those 9, four of them died in different directions, while the other  three and two simultaneously died in the opposite direction.

Based on his calculation and how those four puppets emit a cry for help before being destroyed, there's a low chance that they met that hateful beast.

As for the three and the two puppets that died simultaneously in different directions, they didn't send a mental message through their faint connection, meaning that they died before they could have reacted.

"Skeleton #2, go to the left direction where the two puppets died; if you meet that hateful beast, do your best to hold it for a couple of minutes."
