Chapter 17

Astrid Pov:

 Hiccup left yesterday and now I am testing out my one suit with Thorfinn when he signals to stop. I stop and then see a Terrible Terror fly up and land on his arm. He takes a note off of its leg and it fly's off.

 I ask. "What's the note say?" and to this he Responds. "It is from Hiccup. He finished a mechanical tail for Toothless though he needs to get it to toothless though he can't leave." I can see why he would make a mechanical tail for Toothless when a question arises.

 "How is he going to get it to Toothless if he can't leave?!" I ask Thorfinn, But his response is calm. "I know one of the teachers and I can go for a day and pick it up then. All they will think is I am supervising the island to see if it is fit for teaching. I will go at the end of the week right before school starts and pick it up before I leave. From there I head to meet Ryder and give him the tail to put on toothless."

 At the mention of Ryder I tense up because of my past encounters.

 We finish up the testing and I go back to the Hideout and Hide my armor. I spend the day there wondering about Toothless and Stormfly and I miss them. After some thought I decide to go visit them.

 When I ask Thorfinn he says. "I talked to Stoick about going to the island to make sure it is fit and he said I could but I had to bring 2 people with me. So I figured I would take you and Einar. I will fill you in on the rest later." Knowing this is where it stops I leave him alone and go back to training.

 I investigate the Hideout and find a secret room and I wonder why would there be a secret room in a Hideout. I go an investigate finding some boxes to go through later. I retreat home for the night.

 In the following days not much happens but then comes the annual Berserker treaty signing. Oswald the Agreeable arrives with a small escort and a girl my age and Stoick says. "It is good to see you Oswald and I see you brought your daughter."

 At this I am surprised because I have never known that Oswald had a daughter. I go to the arena and practice as they go on the tour since Oswald's daughter was with him.

 When they arrive at the arena they see me sparring with Thorfinn and Oswald asks to Stoick. "Who are they." Probably since no one really saw Thorfinn. To this Stoick replies. "The runner up Astrid for the dragon killing program he had a few months ago and our carpenter Thorfinn."

 Oswald looks surprised at this and asks. "I thought Astrid was the best recruit and why is a carpenter that good." Stoick can see sense in this so he replies.

 "Astrid was beaten by Hiccup and Thorfinn is my Nephew who's father is The Troll of Yam." Stoick says and at this Oswald is surprised.

 "You mean that kid of yours beat your best recruit and that that person there is the son of The Troll of Yam." Oswald says and at this Thorfinn seems a bit agitated and leaves for his home.

 I go up and say. "Hiccup may not be the strongest but he is the smartest. Also who is The Troll of Yam I have not heard of him before?" To this Stoick replies. "He was the only one other than his uncle that could beat me in strength. He was a true warrior and he has taken out entire armadas in his prime." At this I am stunned, Entire armadas.

 "By armadas I mean 25 of our Viking ships." Stoick says, and I calm down a bit but still. I join them as they continue on the tour.

 When the treaty is signed I go to my hideout Stealthily hoping I am not being followed. When I arrive I go into the Hideout and work on some stuff.

 Some time passes and I am about to go out but I hear voices and look out seeing the berserker chief, His daughter, Gobber, And Stoick.

 I go into the secret room and find a note I didn't see before, it says. "This is here incase it it found along with a escape route to Thorfinn's and a cliff in the cove in case someone is here."

 I leave the note and find a path and follow it. It isn't long before I come out into the cove and walk over. I say hi to everyone and then the Girl by Oswald asks me. "Can I sit with you?" This caught me off guard a little but I am not going to say no to a Different tribes Heir.

 I go and sit next to her and ask her. "What is your name?" to this she replies. "Heather." We get into talking for an hour and everybody else goes and sits somewhere else to leave us alone.

 Finally it comes time for them to leave and I go back home for the night.

 Nothing happens until it is Finally time to go and visit the School and Thorfinn says. "When we are on the tour and arrive at the dorm section go to the dorm with a blacksmith and behind it you should find a clearing with a bag buried. In it is the gift for that person." and with that we set off to the School.
