The dust cleared, and Tai Lung stepped back, holding his chest tightly.
"Calm down, this time you didn't explode into pieces…"
Hearing Allen's voice, Tai Lung tensed up. Allen stood there with an outstretched hand, holding Po's fist.
"You…"
"Tai Lung I promised not to interfere to save Po; I never said I wouldn't intervene to save you…"
"What are you trying to do?"
"Yeah, what's going on?" Po complained, "The fight ended so epically! Mm! Mmm!"
Allen grabbed Po's face to stop him from speaking and walked toward Tai Lung. Tai Lung, upon seeing him approach, showed no fear, only defeat. He had lost twice in a row. At this point, prolonging the fight would only demonstrate how incompetent he was as a martial artist.
"It doesn't matter, just take me to prison…"
Tai Lung, either consciously or unconsciously, had accepted Po as the dragon warrior; after all, he defeated him even using all his power. So, he had nothing more to do here.
"..." Allen observed Tai Lung. This leopard chose not to beg until the end. Characters with such pride were troublesome, but also admirable.
Kratos – … after two defeats, his will didn't break, but something did change... he accepted that his opponent had surpassed him.
DoomGuy – *Nods in approval*
Both Kratos and Doomslayer knew what it was like to get lost in the carnage of vengeance, immersed in hatred, rage, and the desire to kill. Both could empathize with Tai Lung, yet they also understood that such anger often turned people into monsters.
DoomGuy had spent so much time killing that part of his mind was lost, and Kratos lived surrounded by ghosts that haunted him for eternity.
Allen smirked sarcastically, "I see you're eager to rot for another twenty years."
"…"
Frustration flickered across Tai Lung's face for a moment. Even with his willpower and great determination, there was no way he could easily accept spending the rest of his life in that abyss. In such a case, even dying in battle would be better.
The tension was palpable. Shifu wanted to speak, but what right did he have?
Tai Lung was a criminal; even though he hadn't killed anyone after his defeat, he had taken the lives of many guards at Chorh-Gom prison. They were literally all buried, though that was the decision of the chief rhino.
"Justice is an old line, often depending on how you look at it. But enough philosophy," Allen pointed at the leopard. "Do you remember what I told you last time?"
"Losers don't have the right to complain…"
"Yes, for stubborn, proud, and resentful people like you who don't understand reason or common sense, that phrase is quite fitting to convince you…"
...
Wanda – …
Polaris – …
Pietro – …
Since their father's defeat, Magneto's children had kept an eye on Allen, but they weren't about to comment because they harbored resentment against him, especially Wanda, who was in full Batman mode, investigating any weakness she could exploit. The same went for some of Allen's students; most of them, except for Peter, would hardly comment in the chat, though that could change in the future.
Peter is a bit shy when it comes to commenting, so he tends not to do so even though he is a fan of Ruby's level.
…
Tai Lung wore a defiant expression, declaring with it that no matter the torture or punishment he faced, he would endure it.
Allen smiled without giving Tai Lung an answer about his intentions.
"He's here..." muttered Allen drawing everyone's attention.
The sound of wind brought a flurry of flower petals. Allen smiled as Oogway appeared.
Shifu, the Furious Five, and Po immediately bowed in respect.
"Oogway..." Tai Lung grew nervous. He was much stronger than he was when Oogway defeated him, but even now, he did not feel capable of defeating this old tortoise.
Oogway approached Allen, who was standing next to Tai Lung and handed him a scroll.
"Master Oogway, was it difficult?"
"Nothing a few peaches can't solve…"
Allen smirked and tossed the scroll to Tai Lung, who caught it and looked between Oogway and him without understanding their intention. Upon opening it, it was a declaration signed by the grand masters exonerating Tai Lung of his crimes.
"What does this mean?!"
"Freedom," Allen replied. "But it won't be free. You're forbidden from harming innocents, directly or indirectly… and if you fail to comply, I will personally take care of you."
With these words, Allen spoke seriously, enough to make Tai Lung shudder and understand that there was nowhere in the world where he could hide from Allen.
Tai Lung read the scroll again, as if trying to understand if it was real, then looked at Allen's face and then Oogway's.
Oogway smiled apologetically, "Tai Lung, I believe that everyone has a destiny, but it is up to each person to choose to follow it… However, in your case, I wish I had intervened so that it wouldn't have ended this way…"
"But you were right I'm not the dragon warrior..." Tai Lung clenched his claws angrily, but then stopped and gave up. "Master Oogway… I don't think I'm ever capable of redeeming myself… nor do I desire it…"
"Never say never. I didn't think I'd break my way to correct a mistake before my leaving… and I did it hehe"
Shifu trembled upon hearing Oogway's words. 'Master, is it really time?'
Tai Lung looked at Allen, "Don't think I owe you anything for this, and someday I will surpass you—and you too, panda!"
Po wasn't going to stay quiet this time, "Anytime, overgrown cat!"
With those words, Tai Lung leaped onto a building and left, but everyone understood that it wouldn't be the last time he returned.
Gwen – Allen, I hope you don't regret this decision.
Felicia – You can bet that cat hasn't lost his claws and fangs hehe, he'll definitely try to bite you again~
MJ – Felicia, stop talking in a way that's easily misunderstood... but in Allen's case, he'd prefer Tigress to bite him ~ Hahaha!
"Aunt Nat…"
Natasha – MJ, you're doing the dishes alone for the rest of the week…
MJ – Oh no, it was just a joke, honey!
Diana – Sometimes I feel envious of your familiarity girls… maybe I should move in…
Annie – Huu me too… but it's fine, it's only temporary; the superhero agency is just temporary…
Kimiko – *Glares at Annie with disdain* I don't care if you cry; you made me work day and night… you won't escape now.
Maeve – The hardest part of working as a registered superhero is coordinating with security forces, the paperwork for each mission, and the hundreds of permits and procedures that must be done…
Alison Foster – We help lighten their load, but there's too much work.
Allen understood why the trio of women didn't appear in the chat much, but it was normal. Like Naruto, everyone praises the Hokage, but no one tells you that you'll spend your days buried under piles of documents.
[I.M] "It's a shame, but Starlight and Queen Maeve can't be anonymous superheroes because everyone knows who they are."
Annie – Darling, can't you do that memory-wipe thing on all people in The Boys so they forget Starlight?
[I.M] "No, you can't... What kind of Superheroe are you?"
Allen responded with an indifferent look at Annie January. Even if she was his girlfriend, brainwashing an entire world just so she could get off work early was a bit extreme.
Annie – but :(
[I.M] "Annie, I can't do something like that, but I could increase the resistance of all of you so the job won't be as hard.... Or maybe send you some help..."
Annie – Thanks, I love you!❤️~
Allen sighed knowing that he couldn't turn his back on his girlfriend either.
Ivy – I suppose this is the end of that world. I didn't say it before, but I liked that world full of nature and low pollution… 'I'll ask the director to take me to that world; it would be a pleasant experience…'
[I.M] "Yes, these days, while talking with Oogway, I realized he was already finished with his path in this world and was only waiting to cross over to the spirit world… Besides, you are right, Pamela, this world is beautiful; I would like to bring you here..."
Ivy blushed when she saw that Allen thought the same as her. But since Wei is in boss mode she didn't want to show it.
Ivy – If you insist, director, I'll reluctantly accept...
McDragon – I'm surprised the chat has gotten to the point where no one is complaining that Allen just shamelessly flirted with two women...
Deadpool – That's life. You end up getting used to everything, bro, dragon dooming you to be single...
McDragon – Hey!
...
Zeng, the messenger duck, flew to tell all the people that they could return and that the jade palace would repair the damage.
Meanwhile, everyone returned to the jade palace.
Oogway had a private conversation with Shifu and passed on his position as the spiritual guide of the Jade Palace.
"But master..."
For a moment, Shifu was surprised as there was someone more capable than him, but then he remembered that Allen was a traveler in this world and would leave, most likely even today.
Oogway smiled as he handed him his staff, "Shufu you are the one..."
Shifu held back tears, "It will be an honor!"
...
The Furious Five, Po, and Allen gathered with Oogway at the peach tree.
The turtle smiled, looking at the panda. "Po, you are even more than I expected as the Dragon Warrior..."
Po had a sad but resolute expression. "Thank you, Master Oogway... I will never dishonor the Jade Palace!"
Oogway laughed at Po's words; seriousness did not suit him. Off-camera, Oogway had advised Po several times, as he had in the original story.
Oogway turned to the Furious Five. "One does not need an incredible title or destiny to be remarkable, and you managed to move this old turtle with your indomitable hearts..."
Monkey, Crane, Mantis, and Viper were crying while Tigress lowered her head with her eyes closed.
"Thank you, Master!" the five shouted in unison.
Oogway nodded and then smiled at Allen. "Our meeting was brief but very meaningful to me. I am glad to have met you, Allen... you are a very exceptional young man, and I wish you the best wherever you go."
"Thank you, Master Oogway, I would have loved more time to learn from you..."
"You don't need it, my young friend... but I appreciate the words nonetheless."
Oogway watched as the wind carried the leaves and began to walk to the edge of the rock.
"My time has come..."
Flowers enveloped him as everyone's faces turned to sadness and desolation.
"…"
Allen remained calm as he watched the heartbreaking farewell.
Harley – Daddy, when are you going to tell them that they can communicate with him through the chat…
Rebecca – No, let them suffer a little more, it'll be funnier that way, hahaha.
Bocchi – No, that would be too cruel...
'It would be... haha well, system, you can begin.'
[Yes, host, you defeated the main antagonist, gaining (+250) fragments, participated in the chosen one's turning point (+50), trained him (+50), and helped in the growth of the Furious Five (+50), Shifu (+50), and even Oogway himself (+200). This totals 650 fragments.]
'Wow, that was a satisfying but short world. Now I'm motivated to return in a year when Lord Shen appears...'
[Host needs 10,000 points to reach the next system evolution level...]
Previously, Allen also enhanced himself. This had a reason: as an ordinary human, he couldn't wield so many powers, some extremely powerful, without consequences.
The cooldowns and ability limits Allen had before were there for a reason, to protect him from his own power.
This changed when he started inheriting Sentry's power; his body strengthened to the point he could always use his weaker powers, and after his battle with Void and subsequent absorption, he no longer needed the system's protection from his powers. There were still exceptions, like "Save Point," but Allen no longer needed to wait days to use abilities like The God of Destruction core.
At this point, should Allen continue collecting fragments for himself?
The only benefit would be perhaps increasing his survival capabilities, reducing his basic needs like eating, sleeping, or even breathing, and enhancing his capacity to handle iridescent-level powers... maybe immortality or evolving as a superior human or something... but Allen has other methods to prolong his life if necessary and Allen is not tempted to stop being human, he can't imagine not being able to sleep with his girls or eat.
However, the system was different—Allen needed to improve it because each upgrade granted him a wealth of benefits, including the ability to interfere with a world not in its programming without consequences, knowing which world he was going to before arriving or even finding the origins of the Dolls.
That has become necessary, both for Wednesday and Bocchi, whom he promised to bring back to their worlds and families someday.
By then, perhaps Bocchi would have grown so much that she'd introduce him as her fiancé. Allen didn't know if her family would be thrilled that Bocchi found a wealthy husband and stopped hiding in her room or if they'd panic seeing their teenage daughter presenting herself as a twenty-year-old woman.
...
Allen was also about to leave, Po, Shifu, and Tigress went to bid him farewell.
"Master..." Tigress bowed. "May I ask if you will return?"
Allen looked at Tigress, the fierce Kung Fu Master who, just days before, had been desperate to defeat him, and now she seemed more serene.
"Don't worry... I'll be back"
...
Cap. America – Hey! Hey! Hey! That's a reference!
Maria Hill – Yes Captain Rogers, it is.
Carol – Captain Rogers, a little dignity, please...
...
(Someone is in a bad mood... 🍷🗿)
...
Po was more dramatic when it came to saying goodbye and clung to Allen's legs.
"Don't go! Who will I show my figure collection to?!"
"Po, I'll be back in about a year... don't exaggerate."
"Huh?! A year?..." Po stood up, dusted off his pants, and saluted Allen formally. "Master, we'll be waiting for you..."
Tigress trembled, as did Shifu, wanting to hit the shameless panda.
Allen, for his part, laughed. "It's too late to pretend now."
After helping the townspeople return, the Furious Five returned and joined Allen's farewell.
"It was an honor, Master!"
The Furious Five saluted Allen respectfully; though his stay was short, without him, they would be dead. Even without that, Allen proved to be a great teacher from whom they could learn a thing or two.
"Don't worry, we'll meet again...haha"
A portal opened, and Allen crossed through...
...
The moment Allen disappeared, a series of notifications started going off.
"What is that sound, an attack?!" Po got into a defensive stance, and this time everyone did the same. However, no attack came, and a screen appeared before them.
Not just in the Jade Palace—Oogway, who had found a place to meditate in a lake of golden water with a high concentration of Chi, opened his eyes at the sight of a screen and a flood of private messages from many, including Whis, Beerus, The Emperor, Gilgamesh, Athena, and even some people who hadn't commented in the chat before sent Oogway messages.
The old turtle chuckled. "A mischievous young man, haha... and here I thought life in the spirit realm would be peaceful."
...
Tai Lung, who was atop a pile of bandit bodies he had encountered, looked at his screen suspiciously.
"What is this?" Tai Lung growled. He, too, received many messages from unknown people.
"This is unpleasant... but intriguing..."
Tai Lung touched the screen and the introduction began...
...
Allen returned to his world while the system searched for the coordinates of a new one. The system knew Allen wouldn't stay long in the Kung Fu Panda world, so preparations had already begun, and there was no need to wait long
Taking advantage of the time, Allen checked the hour and decided to visit the X-Mansion to give some classes, then went to Gotham to be scolded by Ivy for not taking his job seriously, only to "punish" her for being so disrespectful to her boss by making her wear a pet collar.
...
A day passed, and Allen woke up with Diana in his arms when the system informed him it had found the next world and it was promising.
'System, integrate me into the world as part of it. I'm curious to see how it will be...'
[Are you sure? This could limit the powers not accepted by the world even more, but it will also strengthen native powers and give you a place in the world rather than arriving as just a traveler...]
'Go ahead, I want to experience the world from a more personal perspective...'
[As you wish, host...]
Allen got up and went to have breakfast with Gwen, MJ, and Felicia, who were there to say goodbye before Allen left. The girls knew it wasn't necessary since Allen would return often, but they were still reluctant to let him go without a farewell.
Allen smiled warmly before hugging and kissing each of the girls.
