299 The Boys: Homelander is Number Two, Allen is a Pervert, and There's a Naughty Bad Girl.

Allen decided to return to Ezekiel's event. However, his arrival at Vought was anything but discreet, and soon the whole world knew about it.

Objectively speaking, Allen had saved thousands of lives, but it happened so quickly that no one noticed. What they did notice was that Allen had forcibly entered Vought International's building once again.

So, although it seemed unfair, this incident only worsened his reputation. Additionally, the head of Vought, Stan Edgar, had disappeared after the intrusion, and this news flooded every media outlet.

...

Maeve immediately returned to the building upon hearing the news. She couldn't believe it; no one could. Stan Edgar was considered the most secure man in the world, protected by the Seven, with Vought commanding hundreds of superheroes.

When she arrived, the building's perimeter was cordoned off by authorities, but Maeve, of course, managed to enter due to her status. In the lobby, she found A-Train and Deep.

Deep was terrified, head bowed, and seated in a corner. He didn't care about his image; he was scared that Homelander would find out that when Allen arrived, instead of fighting, he had knelt, pleading for mercy.

"Maeve... this doesn't look good," A-Train said. He didn't want to go up either. To make matters worse, his girlfriend, Popclaw, had handed over Compound V samples to unknown people, so A-Train was in as much trouble as Deep.

"Where is he?" Maeve asked with a somber expression.

"Up in Mr. Edgar's office," A-Train said, swallowing hard. "Don't go up! Homelander is extremely angry. He killed three employees, and we had to evacuate the building!"

Maeve knew that Stan Edgar was as close to a father as Homelander had, and his disappearance must have affected him more than anyone. Maeve wasn't concerned about the psychopath, but she still needed to know what happened. She didn't believe that Allen would attack Stan Edgar without reason. Of course, she didn't know him personally, but what she had seen of Allen was enough.

Ignoring everyone's warnings, Maeve went up. On the floor where Stan's office was, she found the bodies of two men and a woman in the hallway. They seemed like ordinary employees but had been killed with brutality; one was sliced in half, another had his arms torn off, and the woman was decapitated.

Maeve swallowed hard. These people didn't deserve this; they had simply crossed paths with Homelander when he was in a bad mood.

Maeve didn't turn back and continued forward. Upon reaching Stan Edgar's office, she found the door broken down and Homelander sitting in Stan's chair, staring out the window as the man at the top of Vought used to do.

Maeve glanced around the room and saw no blood stains, so it appeared Stan Edgar hadn't died there. However, she was surprised to see a hole in the wall revealing a secret room.

"That man…" Homelander said. He could have heard Maeve since she arrived on the floor, but he was not in the mood for conversation.

"I didn't mean to interrupt!" Maeve immediately apologized.

Homelander didn't react and continued speaking. "That man never liked me. He was cold, unpleasant… he always looked at me as if he didn't like me..." Homelander paused. "I thought I hated him with all my soul... No matter how hard I tried, he always looked at me as if I wasn't good enough…"

Maeve stood frozen, even regretting coming, but it was too late to turn back now. She took a deep breath to calm herself; at least Homelander wasn't in killing mode.

"Stan isn't dead, right?"

Homelander turned to Maeve, and she felt chills seeing his emotionless gaze. "That man wouldn't die so easily…"

"Th-that's good, right?"

"He… he once told me something that made me hate him. When I finally became the most powerful superhero, I came back to this office expecting him… I wanted to see his face when he knew," Homelander chuckled at himself. "But he never congratulated me or seemed happy... It would have been fine if it had ended there!"

Maeve felt an urge to leave but stayed, sensing that Homelander was on the brink of becoming a mass murderer.

"He told me it was the least I could do because, despite being a defective product, I was the strongest."

"...!"

Homelander stood up and walked towards Maeve. She took several steps back until she was pressed against the wall. Homelander stopped just a step away from her.

"At that moment, I felt rage and deep resentment towards him. I wanted to kill him with my own hands… but I decided to make him regret his words."

"..."

"Today I realized the meaning of being a defective product…" Homelander punched the wall behind Maeve, creating a massive dent. "He was there! He was in the same place as me, and I didn't notice! He came to my damn building, and I didn't get there in time! I've never felt weak before, but now I know I'm not number one!... I'M THE DAMN NUMBER TWO!!!"

Homelander stepped away from Maeve and started walking towards the exit.

"Stan Edgar left this place, but he's definitely not dead. I must prove that I'm second to no one… I hope to count on your support, Maeve…"

Homelander left, and Maeve sank to the floor, feeling her heart pounding. She had rarely felt death so close. Additionally, she had never seen Homelander so angry.

...

Allen returned discreetly and began searching for Annie and Kimiko. It wasn't hard to find them. Both girls were with Butcher and Hughie.

The place was already empty after everyone left, and only they remained.

"Let's go, blonde, we need to get out of here, Homelander will come after hearing about this commotion!"

"Leave if you want. We'll wait for Allen!."

"I'm sorry Annie, but Butcher is right, we need to leave..."

Kimiko put her claws on Hughie's neck, and he raised his hands. MM was about to draw his gun.

"I'm back... there's no need for you to fight among yourselves," Allen said with a smile.

Kimiko immediately ran to him and jumped to hug him like a koala. This sudden display of affection surprised Allen, but he didn't reject it.

Annie also ran to him and hugged him.

Everything happened so quickly that ordinary people probably didn't even notice, but Annie and Kimiko were not ordinary girls and should have understood something about the situation.

"Tell me, kid, what happened?" Butcher asked but immediately shook his head. "Better let's get out of here first."

"Don't worry about Homelander; he won't come here…"

"Are you sure?"

"Yeah… besides, there are two issues to address…"

...

Butcher looked at the man lying on the ground and recognized him.

"Son of a b***h, the bastard was alive..." Butcher laughed. "This is a big fish."

"Who is he?" Hughie asked.

"He is Mindstorm, a member of Payback!" MM said.

"Soldier Boy's team?!" Hughie exclaimed. "What's he doing here?!"

"He came to kill me..." Allen replied, coldly smiling at the unconscious man. "Unfortunately for him, it didn't work, and now he's on the ground."

"This guy is gold..." Butcher smiled sadistically. "I'm going to enjoy extracting information from this bastard!"

Allen thought for a moment while stroking Kimiko's head, which she had finally released. "Butcher, I recommend putting a remote-controlled bomb on him to ensure he doesn't use his abilities when it's not necessary."

"We're on the same page!" Butcher crouched down and picked up Mindstorm. "Hughie, are you going to just watch me?"

"I'm sorry!," Hughie immediately helped him, and both of them took Mindstorm away.

"Allen... what are you planning to do?" MM asked, standing next to Allen.

"I'll go back to rest... and there's a problem I need to resolve personally."

"I see..." MM patted Allen's shoulder. "Don't hesitate to call us if you need help, friend."

"Thanks, Mother's Milk."

With both of them leaving, Allen turned to Annie and Kimiko. He then explained everything that had happened. Kimiko immediately tried to go after Stan Edgar, but it was impossible; he had proven that if he wanted to hide, even the devil wouldn't find him. Allen stroked Kimiko's head.

"Thank You Kimiko..."

"Hm~"

Allen wondered if despite her age Kimiko's Japanese heritage made her susceptible to this act of affection, as after checking with several girls patting proved to be more effective on young girls and anime waifus.

Annie trembled with tears in her eyes, and Allen reached out and wiped away Annie's tears and then stroked her cheeks, she took his hand.

"Don't worry Annie, I'm fine, nothing happened to me haha"

She immediately hugged him. Allen could feel her frustration, but there was nothing to be done immediately.

"Annie... I wasn't always this strong."

"But..."

"There were times when I felt that frustration of being powerless. Don't worry... there will come a time when you won't feel like this..."

"Yeah..."

...

Allen spent fifteen minutes consoling Annie, who refused to let go of him until Kimiko became annoyed and pulled her away. They began to argue among themselves, but by this point, Allen decided to address an issue.

He told both girls to wait for a moment and walked towards a barely standing tent. Upon opening it, Allen found Cate sitting on the ground, hugging her knees.

"I'm surprised you didn't run away," Allen said, conjuring two chairs. He sat in one, but Cate remained on the floor, clearly unwilling to sit.

"Is there any place in this world you can't reach?" Cate responded in a low, resigned tone, but also nervous. 'This man could end the world at any moment; it's just ridiculous!.'

Cate was surprised that she was trying to maintain composure in front of the person before her. Her mind was a mess; she had failed and now didn't know what would happen. But she also realized that everything was a farce; she was destined to die alongside Allen.

"Don't you plan to kill me?"

Allen stared intently at Cate. "You... saw my memories, didn't you?"

"I... yes, but just a little, and my head is in chaos. I don't know what's real and what isn't!" Cate quickly responded in an attempt to excuse herself.

"Don't worry, I'm not going to hold that against you. It's not even that serious a secret..." Allen smiled mischievously "because no one would believe you."

Cate was confused and shrank further. "Don't you hate me?"

"Why ask questions when you already know the answers?" Allen gave a wicked half-smile.

Cate blushed and avoided his gaze.

She knew it, of course, she knew. With Allen's character, he wouldn't hate a girl who lived a life of constant suffering and had no choice but to commit horrible acts. She knew that even when she tried to do something horrible, he wouldn't blame her. Cate began to cry, nervous but not scared.

Allen stopped joking and his gaze softened.

'How could I run from you? How could I be afraid of you? How could I think you'd hurt me? How can I apologize? Should I fall at your feet and beg? No, that would just make you uncomfortable.'

"..."

Allen remained silent, calmly observing the girl on the ground. There was no hatred in his eyes, no disgust at her powers. There was no contempt for her actions or rejection of her mistakes.

Cate stood up, looking at the ground. She didn't want to meet Allen's gaze, but she owed him an apology.

Cate took a deep breath, thinking of her brother, and apologized for being such a bad person.

She looked up, and through her tears, she spoke.

"Help me... huh?"

Cate couldn't understand her own words; they were different from what she had planned to say. She immediately felt bad, even after everything she had done, daring to ask for help.

She believed that she could no longer be a worse person than she already was. Cate felt she should leave immediately, to run away and never face this person again.

"Yes, leave it to me."

"Wha-?!"

Allen's hand extended to gently stroke Cate's head. She froze, not only because no one had touched her voluntarily in who knows how many years but also because this person said he would help her.

Cate nearly broke down but managed to hold back her tears and took Allen's hand with her own.

"T-thank you..." she murmured weakly, clinging to the warmth of his hands.

...

At the Dunlap house, the phone rang. Cate's father answered the phone hesitantly. They had seen the news and knew that Stan Edgar was missing. So, only one person could be calling.

"Hello, Mr. Dunlap..."

...

After agreeing with her parents that Cate would stay with Allen until they resolved the problem, and of course, they had no objections, Allen returned to his home with a new guest...

Allen opened the door, and Kimiko and Gwen entered. Cate hesitated before stepping inside, she looked very embarrassed.

"What's wrong?"

"I've never been in a guy's house before."

"Don't worry, I won't bite~" Allen joked, which only made Cate blush more, confusing Allen. She should be a bolder and stronger-willed girl.

Felicia – Allen, you do know that this Cate Dunlap and the Cate from Gen V are different, right?

[I.M.] "Hm? Yeah. I think I heard somewhere that there's about a year between each season, and Gen V was between the third and fourth seasons."

Allen froze. He had thought Cate was younger than she should be, but he hadn't calculated her exact age.

"Cate... are you by any chance nineteen?"

"..." Cate tilted her head, confused, and then looked away. "No..."

"Hahaha... I see. So you're eighteen, right?~"

Cate didn't respond; instead, she lowered her head further, not wanting to answer, thinking Allen might treat her differently if he knew she was so young.

Annie approached from behind and observed the scene with an expressionless face. She took out her phone and started dialing the police.

Kimiko had a cold look, reflecting the sentiments of the Chat group.

Gwen – It finally happened...

Felicia – I knew it would happen sooner or later.

MJ – Allen... *pitying look*

Kara – Looks like I'll have to capture you after all.

Raven – This is... complicated.

Allen started sweating. He had just brought a seventeen-year-old girl into his house and joked about not eating her?!

"Hey!" Cate noticed the change in the atmosphere, with the women present looking angry and Allen looking pale. She immediately raised her voice to defend Allen. "It's okay! I came here of my own free will! And... and... I'll be eighteen in two months!"

Allen collapsed to the floor. "That's not helping, Cate!"

FBI – *Evil smiles appear on a group of people wearing blue caps. They looked on with delight as elsewhere a judge issued a warrant for Allen Walker...* Huhuuhu Hehehehehe Hihihihi *Evil laughter*

...

Annie and Kimiko looked at Allen with suspicion while he nervously avoided their gaze. "Hey, I didn't know!"

Hestia – Sure... everyone believes you...

Raven – I thought you'd left your bad habits behind when you decided to put on a cape...

Starfire – It seems that the evil in your heart manifested in another form... but I believe in you, and you can repent while in jail!~

"Don't condemn me; I haven't done anything!"

Natasha – True, honey, you only threatened Cate's parents to get her...

Athena – You promised her the moon and the stars to get her to follow you...

Maria H – You brought her to your home...

Tearju – You made dirty jokes with her...

A vein popped on Allen's forehead as he looked at his house. "You... stop taking everything out of context..."

Allen decided to end his stream to avoid further problems.

Rick – At least use protection and record her consent beforehand.

"SHUT UP, RICK!!"

While everyone was making fun of Allen there was someone who was not happy.

It's unfair...it's unfair... it's unfair.. it's unfair it's unfair it's unfair it's unfair it's unfair it's unfair it's unfair it's unfair it's unfair it's unfair it's unfair it's unfair.

IT'S UNFAIR!!!!

Rogue's eyes grew empty and darker for a moment, as she felt hurt that a copy had stolen her story. She should be the one Allen consoled for not being able to touch anyone, not Cate.

....

Allen went to the kitchen and poured himself a glass of water. Cate remained in the living room while Kimiko took a shower. She was covered in blood from dealing with Vought's guards who had tried to capture her amid the confusion.

Annie went to prepare a room for Cate. Fortunately, this apartment had three rooms, so the system didn't have to defy the laws of physics this time. Kimiko and Annie would have to share a room, but there was no option; Allen was a man, and Cate had powers that activated on contact.

Allen brought a glass of water to Cate in the living room. The girl spoke very little and looked very depressed. She accepted the glass while subtly using her finger to touch Allen's.

Rebecca – 'I see, this girl is one of those~'

Nokotan – 'Nununu~ She's a bad girl, acting shy and innocent but is a wild beast when she lets go.'

Allen interrupted and defended Cate, 'You're exaggerating. Sure, the Cate everyone knows is the classic extroverted popular girl, prom queen, but that's after Indira manipulated her.'

Bocchi – 'Allen-san is right. She looks so lost and alone. It makes me very sad...'

Nokotan – 'Bocchi-chan is so innocent~'

Rebecca – 'Of course, if this girl didn't have those powers, she'd be going to every party she was invited to and getting drunk until she passed out... Plus, this type of girl doesn't hesitate to give everything for the man she loves, even if she's labeled a whore~'

Allen was irritated by Rebecca and Nokotan's prejudices towards Cate, so he decided to show them that Cate was a sweet and pure girl at that moment.

Allen sat down next to her, and she looked at him in astonishment.

"Cate, is it that you don't want to stay here? I won't be bothered. I can get you a place of your own."

"No!!" Cate yelled in panic and immediately threw herself at Allen. "No, I mean, I don't want to be away from you... from all of you."

Rebecca mocked that the girl had clearly used the situation to get into Allen's arms. But Allen didn't believe that. He refused to believe that such an innocent girl could be...

"Don't worry, I don't mind you being here. I just suggested it for your comfort. It's strange living with other people after a life alone."

Cate shook her head. "I'm afraid of people, but I'm more afraid of loneliness."

Bocchi blushed, noticing that Cate hadn't moved away from Allen and was subtly leaning her face closer to him.

"I understand; you can stay as long as you want. Also, I asked a friend to check the pills Stan Edgar gave you. With his help, you'll get a formula without side effects soon."

Allen hoped this news would cheer Cate up, but she remained silent in his arms, which made him feel uncomfortable. After a minute, Allen began to doubt his previous words.

Cate pulled away slightly. "I'm sorry. My powers have the effect of making me crave contact with others, and you're the only one I can touch... so I want to touch you forever...!!!"

Cate quickly stood up, her face flushed with embarrassment over her words, and ran away. Allen remained silent, unable to react.

Artoria – 'It looks like we have a lioness disguised as Hello Kitty...'

2B – Master, I'm detecting high levels of stress due to that girl. Allow me to eliminate her.

It's fine; it's not the first time a girl has acted carnivorous with Allen. MJ and Felicia are examples, but none of them could put Allen in jail if he touched them.

[Don't worry, in two months it will be legal for you to eat her... just hold on.]

"Damn it!"

Allen decided to rest from a long day and slept like a rock, but in the middle of the night a blonde girl entered his room, everyone may have thought it was Annie however her eyes were amber and this girl had blue eyes.

Needless to say, it was Cate, she was breathing heavily as she approached Allen.

2B always alert tried to appear and stop her but Nokotan and Rebecca stopped her.

Cate arrived at Allen's bed and got into the sheets, she quickly removed her pajamas to leave her underwear and proceeded to tempt Allen with her hands who usually slept in pajama pants but with nothing on his torso.

Cate held her breath at a male body that had been forged to the limit of what was possible, with the perfect amount of muscles without too much volume.

Cate used her slender fingers to touch Allen's abdomen with a little fear, she knew she was doing something bad, but her longing wouldn't stop, it was almost an obsession.

This body was perfect she thought.

Add to that a face that would make every man cry and every woman sigh. Cate felt she was committing a sin by doing this but far from making her stop it provoked more morbidity and desire, she without hesitation climbed on top of Allen.

...

In the world of Marvel, several FBI agents woke up at the same time feeling a disturbance in the force.

Without a word they got up from their beds said goodbye to their wives and husbands and left for the office with bloodshot eyes and an unbreakable will. Their opponent was a monster but that didn't stop them from fighting and fighting with the hope of one day bringing Allen to justice.
