Chapter 311: Restroom Incident

At this moment, Kate entered from outside the set and affectionately patted Felicity's arm. "Your mother is here, go see her quickly," she advised.

Felicity beamed at Martin and rushed out of the set to meet her mother.

Kate then explained, "She's the daughter of a distant relative of mine. Please, don't cause any trouble on the set."

Martin, with an innocent expression, spread his hands and said, "Kate, I didn't do anything."

"True," Kate recalled, "but you don't reject any offers."

Martin protested, his innocence even more apparent, "I'm a good person. I don't know how to refuse kindness, especially from friends."

Kate pointed toward an empty area ahead and suggested, "Go in that direction."

Martin handed his coat to Bruce and followed Kate.

Kate mentioned, "The filming for this drama is almost finished. After the shoot wraps up, Sam would like to invite you to visit his home in London." Martin looked back; Sam Mendes was busy directing the crew for an upcoming car scene.

Kate asked, "Will you go?"

Martin replied, "I won't be able to. I have a sister who's coming from Atlanta to study at the California Institute of the Arts. I need to get back soon."

Kate nodded understandingly, "Alright, I won't press you on it."

Bruce quickly approached them, and Kate sensed something amiss. She said, "It seems something's wrong with Bob. I won't bother you any longer."

Martin accepted the phone handed by Bruce, curious about the situation. Bruce whispered, "It's Louise."

Martin walked away from the crowd and spoke into the phone, "Why the sudden call? Is something wrong?"

Louise's voice came through the receiver, "I was talking to Kay today, and she mentioned that the master sculptor Lily Carter is coming to Los Angeles to study at the California Institute of the Arts." Martin couldn't deny it, "Yes, she'll be coming from Atlanta soon."

Louise continued, "Kate said 'The Reader' will take a while to finish. You won't be back anytime soon, right? Should I welcome Lily for you and escort her to the California Institute of the Arts?"

Martin assured, "Thomas will handle it."

Louise added, "I can provide two letters of recommendation for her, one from the college and one from the university sorority. Joining the sorority will benefit her future development."

Martin reminded, "You can go, but please don't cause any trouble."

Louise humorously responded, "I'm a woman, how could I?"

She added, half-jokingly, "You've given Kelly and me so many works of art carved by Lily Carter. If she becomes a master, the value of those carvings in my possession will increase! Gotta think about my property value." Martin conceded, "I'll send you some more later."

Louise acknowledged and ended the call.

Martin returned to the set and resumed his work. There were still a few night scenes to be shot.

As night fell, Pinewood Studios was brightly illuminated. The Harry Potter crew was wrapping up their night scene filming, and the three actresses exited the set, heading towards the nearby restroom.

This crew, unlike others, was committed to filming for years to come, and their facilities were built to high standards, even the restrooms.

Emma Watson inquired, "Did you see that Irish girl in the cafeteria today?"

Cheryl responded, "I didn't notice."

Emma Watson seemed to issue an order, "Carly, Cheryl, do what needs to be done. If you come across that Irish girl, figure out something. We can't make her life easy."

Cheryl hesitated, "Won't this create a feud between the two crews? The 'Atonement' crew came looking for her..."

Emma Watson gave her a stern look. Carly firmly gripped Cheryl's shoulders, "Without Emma's support, would you have landed this role?"

Emma Watson, now with a smile, assured, "Don't worry, we're all friends."

Cheryl understood her place and realized she was just a follower in front of Hermione.

Carly encouraged her, "Know your position."

Cheryl silently nodded.

Emma Watson led the way to the women's restroom. When the Harry Potter series first started, Emma Watson was an innocent, cute, and kind-hearted young girl. However, fame and fortune had changed her.

Publicly, she appeared poised and refined, but in private, she had grown somewhat spoiled.

In the face of immense fame and fortune in the entertainment industry, most young stars struggled to remain unaffected.

For instance, Saoirse Ronan only developed a desire for voyeurism after entering the world of acting.

As they reached the restroom, Emma Watson entered the front partition, while Cheryl instinctively chose the farthest one. After taking her seat, she wiped her eyes, tears of distress trickling down her cheeks.

In the family, who isn't the youngest child?

When I arrived on the set, I had to endure a wave of frustration.

Cheryl was overwhelmed by sadness, a sense of injustice, and anger.

Meanwhile, outside the restroom, Saoirse Ronan, with her petite frame, effortlessly maneuvered through the thick foliage and approached the restroom door.

The film crew and actors were particularly unhappy about the presence of surveillance. Apart from a few critical areas, like the entrance gate, there were very few security cameras throughout Pinewood Studios.

Saoirse had made thorough preparations for this night.

She wore a black pointed hood, with an exaggerated white skull face hanging beneath it, and her black jacket was filled with items.

As a skilled observer, Saoirse was well-acquainted with the environment, and her movements were nimble.

After a brief observation, she swiftly entered the restroom. She retrieved a lighter from her right pocket and took out some modified firecrackers from her left.

These small fireworks were initially too weak, so Saoirse had made some adjustments, connecting several fuses together.

She had even tested them earlier in the day, finding it quite amusing, especially in the restroom.

Saoirse deftly crouched down and peered under the partition using the light.

During her earlier observations, she had noted the shoes worn by the three individuals.

In the first partition, she spotted a pair of Chanel shoes, which must have belonged to Lafayette.

She ignited the fuse, counted a few seconds in her hand, and tossed it over the partition from above.

Bang, bang, bang!

As the super fireworks exploded, Emma Watson let out a piercing scream, crying for help.

Saoirse was satisfied and quickly made her escape. She dashed into the greenery, retraced her steps, and headed towards the crew of "The Reader."

Emma Watson's screams grew louder behind her.

Saoirse gleefully taunted, "You pretentious British woman! You're nothing but a fraud!"

Inside the restroom, Emma Watson flung open the partition door and fled in panic, screaming at the top of her lungs.

As the fireworks exploded for the first time, some of them flew around the partition, and a few even landed inside the restroom, creating chaos. Emma Watson's pants were soaked, and her clothes carried an unbearable stench.

She cowered in a corner, trembling, and pleaded, "Carly, Cheryl, come save me! Help me!"

Several fireworks landed in the next partition, where Carly was. She was so frightened that she couldn't move or utter a word.

Cheryl, being the farthest away, remained unaffected. She pushed the partition door open and rushed out, finding a thoroughly embarrassed Emma Watson with wet pants, foul-smelling clothes, and even a piece of used toilet paper in her carefully styled hair.

Emma Watson, despite crying, still managed a condescending tone, "Go call for help! What are you waiting for? Move!"

Cheryl nodded resolutely and said, "I'm on my way."

She rushed past Emma Watson, left the restroom, and headed towards a crowded area, shouting at the top of her lungs, "Come and help! Someone attacked Emma Watson with fireworks in the restroom, and she peed her pants! Does anyone have spare pants?"

Her cries echoed, carrying the weight of all the frustrations of being in the shadow. Emma Watson, peed her pants – those words were undeniably intriguing.

Many people gathered to watch the commotion.

Inside the restroom, Emma Watson's initial fear began to subside, but she could hear Cheryl's shouts, which infuriated her.

What was satisfying when ordering her followers was now aggravating.

"Bitch!" Emma Watson wanted to rip out every strand of that girl's hair and pursued her immediately.

From the "The Reader" crew, Bruce and Martin got out of the trailer, hopped into an electric car nearby, and sped in that direction.

They couldn't resist stirring up trouble, especially when something exciting was happening.

"Who peed their pants?" Martin inquired.

Bruce turned the car and headed toward the source of the noise. "It looks like Emma Watson!" The electric car was fast enough, and despite not being the closest, Martin and Bruce were the first to arrive.

Under the bright streetlights, Emma Watson was chasing after a girl.

She appeared highly embarrassed, with a large wet patch on her pants, stained clothes, and a piece of toilet paper softly clinging to her hair.

Martin quickly grabbed his phone.

Bruce drove the car with one hand and pulled out his phone with the other.

Both realized the significant news value of this scene.

As good friends who always thought about their journalist colleagues, Martin and Bruce couldn't pass up this opportunity and started filming without hesitation.
