Chapter 99: Have I Been Affected?

A/N: I'm so sorry for the super late chapter

°°°

"Why is there a psychic reaction in Kryptonian genes?" H'el's expression was terrifyingly serious, and he still hadn't put down the super magnifying glass around his eyes. His eye area was covered in bulging veins, his pupils like black holes, making him look extremely menacing.

The discovery of this unknown psychic power reaction within Kryptonian genes, no matter how faint, couldn't escape H'el's detection at this moment. What was more concerning was that this psychic power resided in the genes related to Kryptonian talents, brain functions, and the aspects of their minds, all of which H'el had confirmed.

In other words, someone had used psychic power to manifest genetic information, and this genetic information was responsible for bestowing various Kryptonian talents. This process felt eerily familiar to H'el.

Using the AllSpark, he could transcribe his psychic power into genetic information, becoming a part of the Transformers' genetic code, essentially engraving his name into their genes. When he did this, he didn't think much of it since he needed loyal subordinates to handle various matters from different dimensions.

However, suddenly discovering that Kryptonian genetic information had been influenced in a similar manner made him feel a chilling dread.

Who could bestow talents on Kryptonian genes like this? Kryptonians were all artificially created using the Codex, and it documented all the Kryptonian bloodlines, including their talents, enabling the natural-born talents of Kryptonian infants.

But where did the Codex come from?

"What is the Codex?" H'el delved into deep thought. What was the Codex?

The Codex was the Kryptonian gene library, containing records of all Kryptonian bloodlines and their talents. It allowed them to endow newborn Kryptonians with innate talents. As for its origin and how it came into existence, that was a subject of myth and legend.

Just like the Inca myth where the creator god, Pachacamac, carved stone statues that came to life the next day under the sun's rays. Or the African myth where the creator god, Jo'ok, molded human figures from clay, giving them legs, arms, and shaping their eyes, mouths, tongues, and ears, creating humans who could both survive on their own and worship him.

In the Hindu myth, Lord Shiva, Mahadeva, found a piece of red clay, and with it, he created a man and a woman. With the leftover clay, he created a dog to protect them.

In Greek mythology, Prometheus molded a figure from clay in his own likeness. He infused this clay figure with the qualities of various animals, both good and bad, sealed within its chest. Athena, the goddess of wisdom, breathed life and divine spirit into this clay figure, giving it life.

In various mythologies, gods created the world and humans in their own image. The Bible myth tells the story of its God creating a beautiful and abundant new world in five days. On the sixth day, God created a man from the dust of the earth, and on the seventh day, He created a woman.

And the in chinese mythology, there's the story of Nuwa creating humans.

Within Krypton's mythological system, there were multiple gods, with the supreme deity being the sun god Rao. He was the original god, credited with bestowing radiance upon Krypton, creating Kryptonians, and granting them various talents.

Even the Codex, considered the repository of Kryptonian genes, was believed to be a part of Rao's body, recording everything about Kryptonians.

While people on Krypton might view this as mere legend or spiritual belief, only H'el knew that it could very well be true.

"Psychic powers... Does this mean I've been manipulated?" H'el's expression shifted, suddenly recalling his moments of madness in the Transformers' world.

He couldn't believe that he willingly succumbed to madness. After traversing through dimensions, there was no reason for him to fall into madness. He had reached the limits of existence and had countless opportunities to transcend his current state. Why would he go mad?

Moreover, he didn't even need to worry about his physical body; he only need to travel through universes and then in the future, he would surely surpass all limitations imposed by Kryptonian physiology.

H'el once again extracted a criminal from the Kandor City prison using his bio-magnetic field. His eyes were dark and menacing as he focused on the gradually enlarging Kryptonian in his hands.

Unsurprisingly, when the Kryptonian was restored to his original state, he died once again due to the same reason—the genetic breakdown.

The genes that were breaking apart were the ones with faint psychic power.

H'el observed this weak psychic power more closely and deduced something important. It was a self-sustaining genetic fragment formed by psychic power. These fragments of genetic information created by psychic power would ultimately become Kryptonians' talents and spirits, solidifying their inherent talents and minds.

In other words, this was a form of 'psychic imprint' on genetic information, specifically designed to grant Kryptonians perfect harmony with their physical abilities.

Fortunately, this psychic imprint didn't include commands like control, but it was still uncertain whether someone with this psychic power could manipulate Kryptonians with just a thought.

"I must remove this genetic information created by psychic powers," H'el's face grew even more serious.

He believed that there might be genetic information created by this psychic power within his own body. What was even more terrifying was that, despite having psychic abilities, he had not detected this genetic information himself. It was possible that all his various talents and abilities were endowed with this genetic information. In essence, his every capability was a product of this gifted genetic information.

He found it hard to accept the idea that a latent psychic power hidden within his genes could be wielded against him at any moment. When it came to psychic powers, few understood them better than H'el. If the creator of this psychic power were to appear before him and have even a fleeting thought, this psychic power's materialized genetic information could manipulate him like a puppet.

The ability to materialize psychic power meant having the highest level of power, transcending reality, creating with a single thought, and manifesting with a mere intention. This realm was akin to that of gods.

So, even if this deity didn't take an interest in him, H'el was unwilling to be manipulated so easily. What was most concerning was the thought that he might already have been influenced.

H'el began to doubt whether his thoughts and feelings had been influenced. He was a traveler, not entirely devoid of empathy, especially since he knew the storyline of this world. He questioned why he had such strong and persistent emotions for Krypton.

Of course, he was genuinely happy and content on Krypton. There, he had friends, subordinates, and he had once aspired to save Krypton. He had contemplated coexistence, toppling the ruling class, and writing a new chapter for Krypton. But in the end, his traveler's desire for power had overridden those emotions, and he had left Krypton behind.

In this moment, he deeply questioned the intensity of his love for Krypton and whether it was irrational.

Moreover, Kryptonians seemed too much like manufactured experiments. When he thought about it, Krypton resembled a factory assembly line where beings were created, given various talents, and had their limits firmly set.

There was only one exception—Superman Prime, which somehow incorporated the Codex, and reached the state of being 5th dimensional.

H'el found himself lost in thought, and the AllSpark once again appeared in his palm. He reached into the depths of Kandor City, using his bio-magnetic field to pull out another criminal, ready to conduct an experiment.
