Charge of the Rat Horde

The noise of the incoming rat colony doubled in volume the next second. Yet the party still couldn't see them.

"When's this black shit going to clear up?" Lobur questioned.

Though the lingering darkness of the mana flare wasn't as widespread as it was a minute ago, it wasn't fully dissipating either.

"Gerrart, try pushing your lights into the darkness. As fast as you can."

Gerrart threw his hands forward, just above and behind the boarkin warrior's shoulders. The three floating lights drifted forward, still in their tight, circular orbit.

To Rizz's amazement, the miasma left behind by his mana flare would shrivel into nothingness upon touching the slow-moving orbs of light. However, everyone knew that clearing the mass of haze wouldn't be possible before the colony's charge.

Squeak! Ch-chirp! Squeak, squeak!

"Gerrart, back to the plan!"

Rizz's shout rang through the cavern but couldn't overwhelm the rat colony.
