"Or perhaps you're just getting old, which is why your ability to scare your enemies doesn't work on me." Shenlian Yingyue addressed the mafia boss with an expressionless face, yet her honest words were sharp enough to cut.

Laughter erupted from everyone in the small world at her bold remarks. Even Xie Xie couldn't suppress a soft chuckle.

"What did you say?" A sinister smile suddenly blossomed on the mafia boss's face, making him appear exceptionally menacing. 

If ghosts were terrifying, then the smile of this man completely surpassed the chilling grins of any specter.

"You're very powerful and wealthy; why not get your hearing and health checked?" Shenlian Yingyue replied, her puzzlement evident.

Her question caused everyone's lips to twitch in amusement. 

"Very good, very good. You've finally pushed me beyond my limits!" The mafia boss shouted as he raised his hand, intent on striking her and inflicting cruel torment.
