Dong Huang patted Xiao Xi's head gently and said, "Xixi, be good. When I finish delivering the gifts, I will come back to play with you."

Not long after leaving Liu Hua's house, Dong Li and Dong Huang walked past a group of idle villagers. They sit under the banyan tree chatting or playing chess. Some are eating red bean cake while mending clothes.

When the villagers saw them coming from Liu Hua's house, one of them sneered and said, "Only children without parents would play with illegitimate children."

Hearing this, Dong Li only glanced at her, but Dong Huan became furious. To her, Xiao Xi is not only her friend but also her little brother. As a good sister, she would not let anyone bully him.
