Golden Horn- Ginkaku
Silver Horn- Kinkaku
Ginkaku and Kinkaku locked their gazes onto Tobirama standing before them, while the elite Cloud Ninja warriors who followed him silently encircled Tobirama.
The main body of troops was dispersed, with most of them still en route, and only a dozen or so individuals trailing closely behind.
Yet, these twenty or so people were all elite fighters, loyal to Ginkaku and the Kinkaku until their death.
"Seems like you've resigned yourself to your fate. I never imagined the esteemed Hokage would deign to confront us directly. Truly the mark of a mature adversary!" Ginkaku brandished the Seven-Star Sword, while Kinkaku wielded the Banana Fan, both brothers gradually igniting with a scarlet aura.
"It appears your target has always been me," Tobirama remarked, glancing around casually.
"Of course. Only in death will your disciples turn against each other, securing our position," Ginkaku replied with a wicked grin, seeing Tobirama as nothing more than a pawn in his game.
"Come at me then!"
Observing Tobirama's reluctance to strike first, Ginkaku hesitated briefly, then he and Kinkaku remained still as their twenty elite ninjas surged forward, weapons at the ready.
Knowing they could be overwhelmed by sheer numbers, these cunning villains wouldn't take any chances.
"Heh, fair point," Tobirama observed the swift movements of the Cloud Ninja, almost like they had become blurs.
"Ninjutsu: The Art of Darkness!"
A pitch-black shroud instantly enveloped the surrounding space like ink sprayed by an octopus.
"Damn!"
"To hell with this!"
These Cloud Ninja were hardened criminals, accustomed to violence and bloodshed. Despite a moment of hesitation, they launched a ferocious assault towards Tobirama's position amidst the darkness. The forest was briefly illuminated as Tobirama's figure disappeared.
"It's that technique again."
Ginkaku and Kinkaku were no strangers to this ninjutsu. Crimson bubbles appeared on their bodies, and oily chakra adhered to their skin, swiftly dispelling the illusion.
For individuals like them, manipulating their chakra countered such illusions effortlessly.
Yet, they were ready for Tobirama's counterattack as special kunai soared from the smoke.
"Watch out, Tobirama's striking!"
Kinkaku deflected a kunai with his fan as Tobirama materialized behind a Cloud Ninja still ensnared in darkness, swiftly plunging a blade.
Blood spurted forth, scattering a cascade of body parts as Tobirama's ninjutsu cleaved through the fallen Cloud Ninja. However, Tobirama himself was nowhere to be seen.
"Careful! Ground kunai incoming!"
Ginkaku and Kinkaku were well aware of Tobirama's infamous ninjutsu. Tobirama's blue and white figures darted across the field, elusive and swift. The elite Cloud Ninja couldn't even touch his shadow, suffering considerable losses.
Tobirama's movements seemed to blend with the golden shadow of the future, executing a deadly dance of slaughter!
From above to below, they were mere ants.
Trapped under Tobirama's elusive onslaught, the Cloud Ninja couldn't escape. Numerical superiority proved futile. Tobirama even used the Cloud Ninja as shields, indifferent to the desperate attempts of Ginkaku and Kinkaku.
"Do you still have a lot of chakra?"
The Kinkaku fanned out, and the banana fan burst with the energy of the species chakra, turning the surrounding ground, along with the flying thunder Kunai, into powder.
"Idiot! Back-to-back formation, keep an eye on his movements!"
Ginkaku shot Tobirama a grim look. Toriyama's sudden attack didn't pose much of a threat to him and Kinkaku.
Kage-level powerhouses had their own defense mechanisms when they were prepared—various types of ninjutsu, strong bodies, or abnormal resilience.
But their subordinates were clearly struggling to keep up.
It was evident that Tobirama's aim was to clip the wings of the two and then deal with them.
And they couldn't catch up with Tobirama at all.
For the first time, the Flying Thunder God technique was widely employed before Cloud Ninja. The world of ninjutsu had suddenly become swift but not invincible. The hearts of Ginkaku and Kinkaku bled!
For these elite Cloud Ninjas, the Flying Thunder God technique was nearly insurmountable.
Kinkaku didn't utter a word, simply tucking the glove into his waist.
"Are you ready?"
"Of course!"
Tobirama materialized behind another Cloud Ninja and swiftly decapitated him.
"Watch out!"
Among these Cloud Ninja elites, a tall, burly figure seemed to have discerned Tobirama's pattern. As Tobirama appeared again, the figure slashed toward his back with a knife.
"Gotcha!"
Tobirama didn't even glance back, using Kuwu to deflect the attack, but the figure remained unwavering.
Ready to kill, Ginkaku and the others charged from all directions, but Tobirama merely smiled and affixed a piece of paper to the big sword of the Cloud Ninja.
"Mutually Multiplying Explosive Tags!"
"Pfft!"
Dozens of weapons pierced Tobirama simultaneously, but in return, he dissolved into a splash of water and exploded!
"Bang——!"
The Cloud Ninja who believed he had found Tobirama's vulnerability bore the brunt of the explosion, his shinobi sword shattered into pieces.
He hastily retreated, only to have some fragments splash onto him, instantly transforming into detonating talismans!
"Stop—!"
The exploding talisman detonated, turning Cloud Ninja into a mist of blood, with more fragments spraying out. Cloud Ninja, who was advancing, was shocked and hastily withdrew.
The explosions continued relentlessly. Once touched by a detonating talisman and the target remained alive, an endless stream of detonating talismans would automatically appear until death.
Many Cloud Ninja were caught off guard, some even used Lightning Release Chakra for defense, yet they couldn't escape death. Only those who severed their limbs managed to escape.
"You bastard!"
Kinkaku was furious, the tailed beast Chakra emanated light, and the banana fan whirled up a terrifying hurricane, tearing through the surroundings and uprooting trees.
"Pfft."
Another Cloud Ninja, unable to dodge, was decapitated by Tobirama, who suddenly appeared. Ginkaku roared in anger, unable to contain his fury!
These Cloud Ninja were all his trusted men and followers. Tobirama seemed to have no intention of holding back. He sought revenge, slaughtering his subordinates with impunity!
"Tobirama! Die!"
Ginkaku swung his Seven Star Sword furiously. The blade, with its peculiar shape resembling a fan, yet possessing six Noble Phantasms, was surprisingly sharp.
"Slash—!"
Tobirama split effortlessly as if there were no barriers.
"Damn it, Flying Thunder God, Shadow Clone Technique, water clones... How can this guy evade death?!"
Tobirama reappeared, standing on a tree, gazing down at the enraged Ginkaku.
"Do you really think I'm here to meet my end?"
Tobirama folded his arms across his chest, sneering.
"I let my disciples leave first because my fighting style is too risky, and I didn't want them to hinder me. Now, I can fight at full strength. Let's see how you handle it!"
Tobirama snorted, dispelling the shadow of gloom that had haunted him for days.
He wasn't a sacrificial lamb; he was a fierce lion ready to obliterate anyone who dared to challenge him!
Indeed, Tobirama never entertained the thought of sacrificing himself. As the fastest ninja in the world, he believed no one could best him.
"Their tracking abilities are a nuisance, they need to be dealt with..."
"Come at me!"
The remaining Cloud Ninja exchanged glances and surged forward once more.
"Tobirama, dare to face me?" Ginkaku finally took matters into his own hands this time, transforming into golden-red lightning and charging.
Tobirama finally sneered and prepared to counterattack, but at that moment, a bright golden rope shot toward him like a viper's strike!
"Whoa, too fast!"
Tobirama was taken aback, activating the Flying Thunder God Technique hastily. However, the lightning-fast golden rope still grazed Tobirama's body, revealing a set of words.
"Hmph, you're still as arrogant as ever, Tobirama."
Ginkaku sneered, his expression darkening. He untied the red gourd at his side, raising the Seven Star Sword triumphantly, ready to strike down!
