Despite the intense odoriferous scent drilling into her nostrils, her appetite wasn't a bit affected. Her puffed cheeks resembling a squirrel's continued to devour the delicacies. The delightful light in her eyes was very infectious, which made the man sitting across her let out a soft smile.
"Brother, I wished I had a tenth of your craftsmanship." Arianne muffled words slipped in between her bulging cheeks.
Magnus pushed the rest of the pastries to her and raised his cup of tea. "You don't need to learn it. Whatever dessert you want, I would make it for you." He blew the steam off before taking a sip.
The lingering aftertaste in his mouth was not good as it used to be, because of the sandalwood permeating the room, influencing his other senses. Still, Magnus was not a bit dissatisfied.
