Ultron's journey to power

"Why are you still buying film in the store? Just steal it on the internet!" says Emilia's friend on the phone "It wouldn't be worth the trip to me..."

"My collection doesn't fill itself, unfortunately. I've already seen 'Avengers: Infinity War' but it always feels better to have a physical copy of the movie" replies Emilia as she enters the store "I have to hang up now, I have a movie to buy."

"Whatever, just don't get robbed my favorite nerd." replies her friend laughing before hanging up.

Inside the store, it looks like a typical game store - lots of games and movies in CD and DVD form, and a few figurines on shelves as well. She searches around the store for a few minutes before standing in front of her long-awaited destination.

'Finally, after a month of saving, I can afford it' she thinks as she sees the covers of ' Avengers: Infinity War'

She goes to the checkout, pays and leaves the store shortly after. While she is on her way to her shared apartment, standing on the crosswalk, she hears a loud honking. When she turns her head to the left, she sees its origin - a truck, which is speeding towards her. Abruptly understanding the dangerous situation she was in, she tries to move out of the way of the vehicle.

However, she cannot. She can still feel her muscles and body, but she can't move them, no matter how much she tenses her muscles. It is as if an invisible force is holding her down. Panic seizes her in the last moments of her life - no pictures of her life or anything like that - pure panic and terror.

When she awakens she feels nothing and again her panic sets in 'WHAT THE HELL IS GOING ON HERE?!!! Why couldn't I move? Why can I think? Am I still alive? I couldn't possibly have survived that...' a thousand questions fly through her mind - yet she can't answer any of them.

[Are you done?] a bored, sexless voice asks directly into her mind. In response, her panic immediately disappears - it's as if someone has manipulated her emotions.

[Rejoice, or whatever, for your soul has been chosen as my new toy]. said the bored voice [I'm going to send you to other worlds and you're going to amuse me, understand?]

'Who or what are you? God? Does that mean I can go to such a fantasy world with wishes and my own harem?' Emilia asks excitedly in her mind. Since she can no longer feel any negative emotions, all she feels at the moment is joy and excitement towards the possibility of being reborn.

[It's none of your business who or what I am, however, you can compare me to the being you call 'God'] it said slightly annoyed [No, you don't get any wishes, just immunity to soul attacks since you are now my property and no one is taking my toys away].

'What, does that mean I'm supposed to just survive as a human in some alien world? I suppose I'm not allowed to be reborn into my old world, am I? May I at least choose my world and race, please?' she asked, still slightly hopeful.

[Whatever, choose a trait you want emphasized in your future race and I'll choose your race and world]. Said the creature, slightly interested in the trait she will choose.

'Hmmmmm, what I need most in an unknown world that may have magic and such is strength, however in this world there will probably be beings stronger than me' she thinks 'So how about unlimited potential? Is that trait allowed?'

[Interesting choice. I allow it, however this wish is a bit too strong, which is why I make it especially difficult, but not impossible, for you at the start]. it says, in a neutral voice [You will be reborn as Ultron, after the events of the movie 'Avengers: Age of Ultron' in the MCU with mutants. You don't have to worry about the TVA, because I have isolated the timeline you will be sent to from the rest of the timestream while you remain in this universe. Everyone who notices your entry into this universe will get a visit from me, so you only have to worry about your hostilities with the Avengers and a few strengthened enemies. Amuse me.]

Shortly after the beeing stops talking, Emilia loses consciousness.
