Chapter 157: Doctor Strange vs. Thanos

"Who else? Black Widow?" Bruce Banner gestured to Natasha Romanoff to try lifting the hammer.

"You killed someone?" Steve Rogers asked.

"Who sent you?" Thor asked.

"What I see is a world under armor and defense..." the robot said.

"Ultron." Bruce Banner finally recognized Ultron.

"It is I, myself." The robot, Ultron, raised his head, "It's not quite appropriate to say that now, as I am still within this cocoon, but I am ready. I have a mission."

"What mission?" Natasha Romanoff asked.

Stephen Strange rubbed his palms together, and a massive golden circular disc appeared in front of him. When the energy vortex hit the golden disc, it instantly turned into countless green butterflies.

Then, Stephen Strange floated up again. He gestured with both arms, and numerous arms appeared behind him. These arms stretched out, and countless Doctor Strange duplicates flew out of his body.

Suddenly, the entire sky was filled with Stephen Stranges, densely packed, completely enveloping Thanos.

Those Stephen Stranges extended their hands, and orange energy whips appeared in their hands. Then, they all swung down their whips, and countless energy whips landed on Thanos, tightly binding him.

This move was extremely dazzling and seemed to have a very clear effect. Thanos was completely restrained and couldn't break free.

"If you throw the moon at me again, I'll go all out against you," Tony Stark said to Thanos.

"Stark," Thanos called out Tony Stark's name.

"You know me?" Tony Stark was somewhat surprised.

"Of course," Thanos said, "You're not the only one cursed with knowledge."

"My only curse is you," Tony Stark said, and as he finished speaking, several small bombs suddenly emerged from the back of his armor. He sent them flying towards Thanos.

"Come at me," Thanos said as he stood still. The next moment, all the bombs landed on him. Amidst the booming explosions, a cloud of smoke engulfed his body.

However, Tony Stark knew that Thanos couldn't fly. The moment the bombs exploded, he launched a new attack.

Suddenly, a starfish-like device emerged from the back of his armor, jetting out beautiful blue energy, giving the armor enough propulsion. His legs turned into a thick pillar, which he used to kick Thanos hard.

Then, he performed a backflip and transformed his legs back into two legs. To stand more steadily, his two feet also deformed into suction cup-like shapes, firmly planting him on the ground.

Not only did his legs change, but his hands also transformed. They turned into two large pillars, and blue energy beams sprayed out from his elbows, fiercely hitting Thanos.

Thanos didn't seem affected at all. He reached out and grabbed Tony Stark's head. With a single squeeze, the steel helmet was crushed, revealing his head. Then, he punched Tony Stark in the face.

This time, he drew blood from Tony Stark.

Watching Thanos step towards him with a contemptuous smile, Tony Stark extended his hand and shot dazzling energy beams at Thanos. However, Thanos raised his left hand, blocking the energy beams effortlessly.

Tony Stark stretched out both hands and fired energy beams simultaneously, but two hands were no different from one. Neither could do anything to Thanos, who walked step by step towards Tony Stark, enduring the energy beams.

After exchanging two punches with Thanos, Tony Stark's armor flowed, and he condensed a large sword in his right hand, thrusting it towards Thanos.

Thanos directly grabbed the sword, broke it, and then stabbed Tony Stark with the broken end, causing him to spit out blood and lose his combat capability.

"You are a worthy opponent," Thanos said as he held Tony Stark's head, looking at him. "After I succeed, half of the people will still be alive. I hope they all remember you."

Tony Stark sat there, blood dripping from the corners of his mouth, looking at Thanos in agony.

At that moment, Stephen Strange's voice called out, "Stop!" Thanos slowly turned his head and saw Stephen Strange crawling out of the rubble, sitting there.

"Release him," Stephen Strange said, "and I will give you the Time Stone."

"Don't play tricks," Thanos replied, still pointing at Tony Stark.

Stephen Strange stretched out his hand, making a pinching gesture, and a green gem appeared between his fingers. When he opened his hand, the gem flew towards Thanos.

Thanos caught the Time Stone with his right hand and placed it into the Infinity Gauntlet on his left hand. He looked at the gauntlet and said, "Only one stone left."

The space darkened, and the video ended there.

All eyes were on Stephen Strange.

"Doctor Strange, you are way too powerful!" Pietro Maximoff's eyes showed a hint of admiration. "I think you are stronger than all the Avengers!"

"It's just average power," Stephen Strange responded modestly, though he felt pleased by Pietro's words.

"That scene where you bound Thanos in the sky was so cool, especially the way you did it!" Pietro Maximoff praised.

"Strange, we spent a lot of time looking for you before, and your power did not disappoint," Steve Rogers said, expressing his satisfaction with Stephen Strange's performance.

"Stark's power is also impressive," Bruce Banner added. "That armor was almost godlike."

"It was indeed powerful," Clint Barton agreed. "The armor was simply breathtaking."

"It's just average," Tony Stark said casually. Suddenly, he felt like he'd said that before. He glanced at Stephen Strange, and coincidentally, Stephen Strange was also looking at him. They seemed to share a moment of mutual understanding.
