"Waah! If I had arrived any earlier, this wouldn't have happened!" Rar whined, crying on Julian's hospital bed. Julian looked at the roof, with a solemn expression on his face.
Saldair was sitting near the door, reading a newspaper. A knock was heard. Julian brought his focus back to the door, slowly lowering his head.
"Come in," he said, with a monotone voice. The door creaked open and Lyrei entered with a light smile.
"I heard about what happened, Julian."
Julian looked a little bit happier, but you could still see the sadness in his eyes. "Right."
There was another girl behind Lyrei. Her hair was silver and her eyes were dark blue. She looked extremely bored, as you could tell by how she looked all around the room.
"Ah, you must not know her. This is my friend, Silva!" Lyrei said, smiling.
"Silva? Is that because her hair is silver?" Julian asked. Lyrei laughed. It was Julian's intention to make it seem like a joke, but it really wasn't that funny.
"You're funny, Julian."
"Ah. Well, nice to meet you, Silva."
Silva was a little startled after hearing her name from a foreign voice, but she walked over to Julian and shook his hand.
"Nice to meet you, too."
She still had one hand in her pocket as she shook Julian's hand. Although she looked pretty uninterested, she still had a light smile on her face.

"Thanks for being the one to push my wheelchair, Saldair."
"No problem. After all, it's the least I can do for you!" Saldair responded, patting Julian's shoulder. They were about to turn the corner until they heard a voice.
"That guy seemed pretty nice, didn't he?"
Julian and Saldair stopped. They decided to silently observe. It was Lyrei and Silva.
"Rar? He's so cool! To be honest, I only came to the hospital to see him."
"I was talking about that Julian guy."
"Oh, Julian? He's kinda weird. The way he looked at me was so... strange."
"He didn't seem that weird."
"I'm only talking to him so that I can get closer to Rar, of course. I think I had a nightmare with me and him being together."
"Haha, Lyrei! You're so cruel!" Silva laughed.
Julian looked at Saldair for a second. Saldair knew what to do. He wheeled Julian away from the entire scene. Saldair heard sniffling from Julian, but he simply decided not to speak about it.
"You can stay at my house, Julian. Until I found someone who is willing to let you stay."
"Thanks, Saldair."
Rar busted through the door. Saldair wasn't surprised by it, but Julian was startled by the sudden action.
"I've figured it out, Julian!" Rar exclaimed, with a bright look in his eyes. Julian and Saldair looked at each other, confused.
"What are you talking about?" Julian asked.
"Healing your leg! If we go all the way south of this peninsula, we can reach a famous healer!" Rar said, smiling. He grinned ear to ear and he couldn't stop moving around.
Saldair and Julian both glanced at each other again, before looking back at Rar. "We're gonna go across the entire region? How long will that take? We don't have horses or anything like that!" Julian said.
"So? Don't you want to get your legs back? Plus we'll be able to explore the world. Or at least, the peninsula. Isn't that a good idea?" Rar continued. Julian thought about it, realizing that Rar was right. This might be the only chance to get his legs back early.
"If you insist. I'll go with you then. But, will it be only us two?" Julian asked. Although he accepted the offer, he still had a skeptical look.
"My brother and Silva are coming. Will that be fine?"
"Sure."
"May I also accompany you all?" Saldair asked, coming into the conversation. Julian nodded.

"Julian, you'll let me join you guys, won't you?" Lyrei asked, with a twinkle in her eyes. Julian looked at her, annoyed. But, he quickly changed that expression of annoyance to a light and kind one.
"Are you sure? Won't it be quite dangerous?" Julian asked. He didn't really care much about Lyrei. But it would make him seem like a better person if he asked.
"I don't care! I'm willing to help you get your legs back, Julian."
-"What a load of crap!" Julian thought, keeping a calm expression on his face. He smiled, lightly.
"Thanks, Lyrei. You're truly a good friend."
"First thing in the morning, we'll leave, Julian. Is that alright?" Rar asked. Julian nodded.
