Chapter 7 DNA test 1

"Let me think about it first,"

"It's okay, whenever you are ready," Ethan had nothing more to say. Every scars and wounds required time to heal and he was happy that he married Lisa instead of Lara.

"Are you hungry?" he said as he drove.

"No, I'm fine don't worry,"

The whole drive was silent. As soon as they arrived, Lisa went to her room.

Ethan watched as she walked up in silence and felt a heartache. He picked up his phone and then called his assistant.

"President, what can I do for you?"

"Set up a meeting with Mrs Smith,"

"But President, you have alot of meetings tomorrow,"

"Cancel," after saying that he hung up the call,"

The next morning, Ethan drove Lisa to the college and after that he walked into a cafe to meet up with Mrs. Smith.

"Ethan," Mrs Smith said excitedly. She was in high spirits after Ethan's assistant called her and asked to meet up. What she had in mind was that Ethan had changed his mind.

"It's President for you," Ethan replied with a cold and ruthless face. He unbuttoned his suit jacket before sitting opposite Mrs. Smith.

"Ooh, I'm sorry President how can I help you?"

Ethan turned to his assistant behind him with a glance before staring back toward Mrs. Smith.

After that, his assistant stepped forward with a cheque book.

"Mrs. Smith, the President wishes you to accept this amount of money in exchange for the Young Missy's freedom," after saying that he handed the cheque book to Ethan.

"How much do you want?" Ethan asked writing a million on the cheque book.

"Is this enough?" He asked seeing her silence. He added a zero to it but she was still silent.

"Still not enough?" At this point, Mrs Smith who was slightly puzzled especially being a money lover finally replied excitedly. She had never seen this much money.

Mrs. Smith was someone who loved spending and luxurious things but after their company had gone bankrupt she couldn't show off their wealth. She was someone very prideful.

"Yes, yes it is thank you President," she replied shamelessly.

Ethan couldn't help but feel remorseful for the kind of mother Lisa had.

"Get it clear if I see you laying your hand on Lisa or trying anything fishy I won't spare you,"

"You don't have to worry, I'll keep my word," Mrs. Smith was still confused and happy so she instantly agreed.

Ethan stood up and then walked away with his assistant.

"President, are you sure that would stop her?" His assistant Mark asked.

"No,"

"Then why did you give her the money?"

"To buy time I'm sure she won't bother Lisa because of me and she will be too busy spending the money based on her personality,"

"You are too cunning President,"

"Lisa, I missed you," Sandy Lisa's best friend ran excitedly and hooked her in a tight hug.

"You are back?" Lisa replied.

"I saw you alight from a car what's your deal?"

"I'm married,"

"Whaaat? Married? How, when why wait how long was I away?" Sandy couldn't help but yell frustratedly.

"Settle down,"

"He is quite good looking and handsome," Lisa winked. With Sandy, Lisa become slightly cheeky.

"Let's go tell me about it, what did your evil stepmother say? Is he rich?"

"He is more than that," she moved toward Sandy and then whispered on her ears.

"Whaat ? Really?"

"So, Is he treating you well cause if not...."

"He is,"

"When will you introduce me to him, I want to see the man that stole your heart,"

"Shut up," Lisa lightly smacked her.

"He asked me something yesterday,"

"What is it?"

"About a DNA test he suspects that I might not be their real child. What should I do? I feel abit confused,"

"Silly girl, I've been telling you to do a DNA test but you were not willing I have a feeling there is something going on. I fully support you go for it we are doctors we will handle it ourselves,"

"Thank you Sandy,"

"Anytime love, let's go to class,"

After class, Lisa walked out and immediately saw Ethan leaning lazily next to his car. He looked so handsome that everyone kept their eyes on him.

"You are early today," Lisa said.

"I didn't have much work,"

"Ooh, by the way, this is my best friend Sandy," Lisa turned to Sandy whose mouth was wide open.

"Hi," Ethan stretched his hand toward Sandy who was still shocked.

"Sandy," Lisa snapped his fingers bringing her back to reality.

"He...he is your husband? Ethan?"

"You know him?"

"Of course I know him have you forgotten who I am. Ethan 28years old chairman and the CEO of James Tech. He was named the richest and most powerful man for five consecutive years, he owns 60% of the land in the country..."

"Aheeem..." Ethan cleared his throat stopping Sandy from saying anything more. He didn't want to make Lisa feel inferior.

After all that, Lisa was again shocked. She knew Ethan was rich but not to that extent. She turned to him with a new light.

"Oooh, nice to meet you President,"

"Just call me Ethan,"

"Even if you are Lisa's husband don't you dare bully her I will come for you," Sandy clenched her fists.

"Do you need a ride?" Lisa asked after a while.

"Naaah, I wouldn't want to be a third wheel,"

"Tch..."

"What's on your mind?" Ethan asked as he drove out the college gate.
