Suri and Rowan exchanged puzzled looks, trying to find a clue as to why Maxieno suddenly became so friendly.

Despite their scrutiny, no answer was forthcoming. Suri chose to sit near the hatchling, and then she frowned upon seeing the hatchling already got bigger since her last visit. The hatchling, which was only the size of her palm, was now as big as an adult rooster.

It had only been a few days, not even months, since the last time Suri visited the hatchling, yet it already swelled to this size. What food did her mother give to the hatchling until it got this big?

"Is… is this the same hatchling as before?" Suri inquired, her gaze directed at Maxieno, who continued to put on an amiable smile.

"Of course. Are there any other hatchlings you saw besides this one?" Maxieno asked back. Suri shook her head slowly, then approached the hatchling hesitantly.
