Inexpiable

I could only glare as I heard Evan chuckle above me, more and more of the witch's form disintegrating as I refused to let her go. There already little more than her torso and head left, but I would not just let her drop to the ground. Jinx deserved far more than that. 

"Stupid witch never could learn, could she?" He gloated and I closed my eyes to stay my own rage, looking back down to my friend's body. There was still a serene smile on her face and I shifted my grip as most of her torso started to disperse. I carefully cradled her face, pressing my lips to her as I gave the witch the best send off I could.
