Formidable Monster

Liang swiftly created distance between himself and the eagle-like creature, which screeched once more and swung its four talons. Instantly, four wind blades materialized in the air, hurtling toward Liang with unprecedented speed.

With a snort, Liang vanished and reappeared behind the eagle.

Boom!

Liang's fist struck the eagle's back directly. To his surprise, no marks were left; instead, silver runes appeared where he had hit.

Realizing the gravity of the situation, the eagle let out another screech. Its body began to shine as its feathers, beak, and talons turned to silver, appearing as though clad in armored plating.

Several silver feathers detached and aimed at Liang. Without much thought, he vanished and reappeared a mile away.

Boom!

A few silver feathers appeared out of nowhere, narrowly missing him.
