Chapter Four The Entrance Exam

She came down from the train, and afterwards she talked with the woman she helped on the train, her name was Mrs Peggy smith. She offered Mary some money, but she declined and they went their separate ways.

She was marveled by the attractions of the city, and didn't even know where the exam was holding, She eventually became lost in the city and she started crying.

Luckily For her she found a boy walking along the street, holding science and medical books. she decided to approach him, he was a boy with nice features, his muscle was toned, he had long black hair and blue eyes with a fair skin, she approached him and told him where she was going, luckily for her they were writing the same exam so she tagged along looking at the wonders of the city, big screens,street lights and cars everywhere.

They got to the venue and we're reprimand by the examiner for being late. the examiner was a black skinned woman with an average height and robust features.

She sat down and started the exam, although Mary knew how to read and write, she didn't understand many of the terminologies used in medicine like cerebrum, cerebellum and other terminologies she always thought everything was the brain.

when she was asked functions of different parts of the brain. she didn't know it and was sweating even under the air conditioner.

she decided to calm down and trust God, and she began to understand things she didn't even know before it was like she was in a trance. she began to write and understand. the practical things she knew were written, and those she didn't know was left.

after two hours, the papers were collected and the examination was over.

When she was about to go, she felt a touch on her, as she looked back, she saw the woman she helped on the train, the woman, Mrs Peggy was also an examiner

She thanked her and again offered to give her money, but she declined.

Mrs Peggy then thanked her and she went on her way. Mary then started going to the train station for night trip, she was approached by Aaron the boy who helped her get to the exam hall, she thanked him and her gave her his number, but she didn't have a phone except the family landline, but she was too ashamed to say that so she just lied that her phone got stolen. Aaron had this charm and many girls flocked around him, and they saw he was interested in Mary, so they gave her disgusting looks, Aaron even offered for her to stay in his hostel till the next day, but she declined because she was always told by her parent's never to sleep in a man's house.

she departed and entered the train back to old town.
