Kian's P. O. V
I kept a smile on my face until Davien was completely out of sight, only then did I place the coffee beside me and cover my mouth. Nervous beads of sweat formed across my forehead, my other hand fell to my stomach.
"What sort of medicines were those?" My body felt like it was on fire, the air felt thinner and my head got dizzy. I tried to stand up, but my knees were too weak and my feet felt swollen.
I knew that it was the right thing to let Davien go, if he had a real shot at finding them then I couldn't be selfish enough to stop him.
"Hey, are you okay?" A masculine voice asked from above, my body froze at the realization that a man was in front of me.
"I'm okay." I hissed and tried forcing myself to get up, I meant to call Carol first, but my major priority was to get away. No, it felt more like a primal instinct.
He leaned in, "I don't think you are…five men are a lot to take in."
