Kian was pregnant. Or so Penelope said, but for a woman who just made that call, she seemed everything but happy. And if she wasn't smiling at the news, it meant something was definitely wrong.

"But, there's something else I need to tell you." Her grave tone hinted that my suspicion was right on the money.

"What is it?" I didn't want to wait another second, it was starting to seem that everyone knew something about my mate that I didn't.

She stole a glance at Oliver, wondering if it was okay to speak about Kian's condition in front of him. I nodded, I trusted Oliver and just knew he wouldn't betray me.

"Say it." My grip on Kian's hand tightened up, I wasn't ready to hear what ever bad news there was, but the news that Kian was carrying our child outweighed that fear.
