An Illicit Affair(?)

Helena had been unable to eat properly for days. However, she still had to work despite her weakened condition. She used makeup to cover her pale face.

Fortunately, she could still drink mint tea mixed with honey. Fresh fruits also managed to find their way into her stomach. It provided her with some energy.

During breakfast this morning, the servant provided the mentioned tea with plain white bread. It looked unappetizing at all. Helena's eyes were more drawn to a bowl of sweet and sour berries next to the plate of bread.

"Grandfather, I have deployed people to search for Liana," Helena said in a flat tone.

"This child is really troublesome. Why did she leave at such a critical time?" grumbled Duke Henry. He had no enthusiasm to drink his coffee. Let alone eat his breakfast.
