Louis' lips pressed together. He wasn't upset about what she said to Edwin. What really scared him was if she found out that her Chuck Hanson was actually Chuck Noland. That was the real worry.

Alicia had dreamed about Chuck, and he was always watching her, like a hawk ready to swoop down, never missing a chance. Sometimes, Louis felt like he was just in the way. He thought about stepping aside for their happiness, but he just couldn't. It hurt too much.
