Eighteen kinds of zombie corpses

In the spacious, vast, deep and dimly lit underground caves, a colorful mushroom hill could be seen in all directions. We were stumbling forward on the mushroom hills. Looking up into the distance, we could vaguely see another scene behind the glowing stone pillars - it seemed to be a forest.

Chisheng was responsible for guiding us and did not lead us directly to the center of the cave because he said that this Eight Gates Golden Lock Formation had many hidden mechanisms. If we wandered around recklessly, we would trigger these mechanisms and inevitably attract unnecessary danger. Therefore, he was now following the aura of the formation so as not to alarm those controlling it.

However, even though we were moving according to the routine of the formation, we still encountered unexpected situations after traveling some distance.

"Ding Ling Ling! Kaka--"

A crisp and dense sound of bells came through; hearing that sound I knew without looking that a corpse puppet was approaching us.

"Concealment," seeing this situation I took command before Chisheng could issue a warning and directed everyone to hide.

"Lie down; don't worry. I'll use my Sky Covering Technique to confuse it so it can't see us," Chisheng said as he waved his Mo Ye Sword towards an approaching corpse puppet nearby which then swayed past us unawares.

"Hiss--"

When passing by us, that corpse puppet reacted similarly to its predecessor: sniffed its nose and turned its head towards our direction but couldn't see anything after staring for half a day before leaving with full suspicion in mind.

Just when we thought everything was safe again after seeing that corpse puppet leave unexpectedly from our hiding spot earlier on; suddenly bells rang out again in greater intensity from afar where two more corpses along with several zombies of various shapes started walking towards our direction together!

"We're in trouble! These zombies are not simple; they seem to have some intelligence," seeing this situation, Chisheng whispered, "They should have already sensed us earlier but were unsure of our location and the strength we possessed. So now they've gathered their forces and are coming over to investigate. It seems like we can't avoid a fight."

"Then let's prepare for battle," I stepped forward and looked at those zombies, frowning: "Why do these corpses all look different? What's going on?"

"There are a total of eighteen types of low-level zombies. The most common one is the stiff corpse that cannot move freely, commonly known as a zombie. Zombies have no soul. In addition, there are also blood zombies, shade zombies, flesh zombies, skin zombies, jade zombies, walking corpses, fake corpses, sweating corpses, hairy corpses , walking deads and awakened deads. The remaining seventeen types of bodies have some remnants or complete souls with similar abilities. You will gradually understand their situation if you have the opportunity in the future." Chiqing Shuai briefly introduced the classification of bodies and then pointed to several approaching bodies and said to us: "Take a closer look at these walking bodies which include armored body (Jiashi), skin body (Pishi) and fighting body (Doushi). Fighting Body has the strongest combat power due to its fierce resentment so it should be dealt with first if we start fighting later."

While listening to Chiqing Shuai's introduction I looked up at those zombies and found that two leading ones were Jiashi while behind them were four other undead creatures including three extremely dry ones with black skin sticking on bones like skulls holding thick back machetes who should be Pishi without any accident; another tall figure wearing heavy bronze armor with phoenix feathers on his head holding a long spear was undoubtedly Doushi.

"The one holding a long spear is Doushi which I'll take care of," after checking out what those undead creatures were made up for I whispered to three people: "Master you deal with two Jiashis while Jietou takes care of three Pishis. When we start later remember one thing - make sure it's fatal strike because they can't give them any reaction time."

"Pay attention to hitting their heads since they don't feel pain but breaking their brains is still the best way to kill them," Chiqing Shuai said in a low voice.

"Another thing to note is that we need to kill their souls after killing them, otherwise it's useless. So our actions must be decisive and don't let those evil spirits escape, or else it will be troublesome," Chiqing Shuai added before starting.

"Understood, let's go!" I nodded at Chiqing Shuai and then clenched my fist and rushed out first.

"Golden Wheel Yari!" While I was rushing out Jietou threw his golden wheel outside directly activating the ultimate move.

"Moye Xunfu!" At the same time as Jietou activated his ultimate move, Chiqing Shuai held Moye sword in his hand and flew up with a sword aura gushing out.

"Doushi is left for me!" In mid-air I shouted loudly while Ganso Baojian fell from above aiming at Doushi holding a long spear.

"Wah--"

To my surprise, those zombies, although they appeared to move clumsily and slowly, reacted extremely quickly when faced with danger. Especially the fighting zombie - when it saw me falling towards it in mid-air, it swiftly raised its long spear and stabbed directly at me.

This guy was quite cunning. It knew that its weapon was more than twice as long as mine, so this move of his should have been an attempt to use the length advantage of his weapon to neutralize my attack.

In theory, such a tactic would be very effective against ordinary people. However, the key issue now is that I am not an ordinary person. Therefore, when I saw its spear lightning-fast stabbing towards me in mid-air, I twisted my waist and moved one position sideways while grabbing its gun handle with one hand. Then with a flash of golden light from Ganjiang and Moye (my sword), under the autumn wind sweeping fallen leaves-like scene,I heard a soft "pu" sound as a head rolled on the ground like a ball and fell into the gap between mushroom hills.

"Sss..."

As soon as its head hit the ground,a black gas immediately emerged from where its neck broke off; then an evil spirit condensed out from within that black gas which seemed to want to escape.

"The sword shows no mercy for souls!"

Seeing that evil spirit emerge,I shouted coldly; flames burst forth from my sword leaving no chance for even a scream before burning fiercely until it disappeared into thin air.

"All done! How about you guys over there?"

Less than five seconds had passed since I dealt with that fighting zombie; feeling proud inside myself , I turned around and looked at Chi Qingshuai (the leader)and Jietou only to find them both having already killed their assigned zombies faster than me.
