Archer and Elizabeth agreed that he would get seventy percent while the government would get thirty, thanks to doing all the heavy lifting for him. He was happy with this arrangement, causing the older woman to smile, ''Would you like something to drink, Arch? I have beer or wine.''
''What do you prefer?'' she asked in a curious voice.
Elizabeth beamed as she pulled out a couple of beers, handing one to Archer. ''I didn't think you'd enjoy a good beer,'' he said with a smile. ''It's been years since I've had one.''
She laughed, cracking open her beer with a hiss. ''Well, enjoying a nice beer after a long day is quite peaceful. It's not like my children are eager to spend time with me,'' she remarked with a hint of sadness.
''Why don't they bother?'' he questioned while sipping the delicious beer.
