The raid[2]

The soldiers surrounded the ware house quickly and prepared to make forceful entry into the building. Using their night vision goggles and heat sensors, they had managed to ascertain the position of the children. All that was left was to get in, execute the rebels, save the children and capture Venom. All this had to be done with special care.

Chi Lian could feel the change in the body language of the soldiers. "Upload the article she said to her brother.

Chi Wei found a spot for cover and switched on the lap top. He quickly uploaded the article titled, 'The sighting of a rebel.'

The article exposed details of the kidnapping of children and the corruption scandal involving Wuliang, and the mayor. It also mentioned the different parties who were involved in the corruption as well.

Below the article, pictures of the mayor meeting the rebels were attached.

It questioned the relationship between the mayor and the rebels. A chart had even been included to show the various relationships and the flow of bribery money.

Viewers were invited to join the reporter Lady Chi Lian as she joined the special military police on the raid of the rebel's stronghold in Muyu slum live.

T4 hacked various networks and spread the article around very fast. The number of viewers on the Phoenix media page was rising faster than expected. It had only been a few minutes but over five thousand people had joined the live room.

Chi Rui was carrying the camera on his shoulder and Chi Lian was presenting the current situation to the viewers.

The viewers identified venom from the pictures in the article and spread his image around so fast.

The national broadcasting channel piggy backed off of Chi Lian's live and showed the footage as well. It was one of the conditions that the minister of state for security had included if Phoenix media was to cover the raid.

The soldiers threw gas cannisters inside the building and pushed their way in. Gunshots could be heard and screams accompanied them.

A few soldiers quickly exited the building with crying and scared children in their arms.

Suddenly, a voice was over-heard saying that Venom was escaping.

Chi Lian told T4 to scout the area through the lens of the fly drones and locate him immediately.

T4 discovered him running away from the warehouse with one child and a bag in his hands.

Chi Lian passed this information on to the head of the squad immediately and joined the soldiers who were pursuing Venom. 'Thank God for the energy capsules and training I have been doing recently.' She thought. She managed to keep up with the speed of the soldiers.

Chi Rui on the other hand was panting like a thirsty dog and exhausted. It was quickly becoming obvious to Chi Lian that her brother could not keep up with her.

"The shoes,"T4 reminded her.

She took them out of her storage and run back to Chi Rui. She handed him one energy capsule and the shoes which would increase his speed. He quickly and abnormally regained his energy and more. However curious he was about what his sister had just fed him, he was sure that now was not the time to ask questions.

"We have lost him, I repeat, we have lost sight of the target." A soldier close to her said.

Chi Lian checked her virtual screen and saw him; he had ducked into one of the houses and was holding the family hostage. The bomb in his position was armed and counting.

"He has ducked into the red and blue painted house in the alley behind the pharmacy." Chi Lian said.

The soldier looked at her with a doubting gaze. How could she possibly have found the person that they, the specially trained soldiers had lost?

"Ma'am, I would advise you not to speculate and spread false information right now."

"If you don't believe me then I guess I have to do this myself." She took off running and her brother followed her.

Most of the viewers were doubtful as well. The soldier was right, how could she possibly know where Venom was.

At home, Chi Lian's parents were watching the news as well. Papa Chi and mama Chi were tightly gripping the chairs as they watched their daughter plunge head first into unknown danger.

Papa Chi could now understand why his children did not want him to leave the house unnecessarily recently. Turns out some rebels were planning to bomb different cities.

Papa Chi could see his wife gritting her teeth and holding back her anger and fear. Three of her children were currently in a very dangerous situation. If she had superpowers, she would have flown over to that place immediately and carried them away.

"They are going to be alright." Papa Chi comforted her.

Chi Zimo was excited to see the action. His siblings were real life heroes, and when he got the opportunity, he planned to join them.

In Jun Muyang's house, he was watching the news in shock. This must have been what she wanted to warn him about. He knew that Chi Lian was a daring woman but chasing after rebels armed with bombs was beyond insane. She was not a soldier, she had no special skills.

In his opinion, she was very foolish.

She had just adopted a child. What would happen to that child if she died? Subconsciously, he hoped she would be safe and return unharmed.

'I will kill any person who harms her.' He thought.

As if he was waking up from a dream, he grimaced and told himself to 'wake up' because she had nothing to do with him. He was probably just tired.

He took a sip of his whiskey and continued to watch the news.

Wenzhe the secretary with a loose tongue had already sent a text to grandpa Jun informing him that the mother of his granddaughter was the reporter on the news chasing after the rebels.

Grandpa Jun quickly called his wife and Jun Muyang's mother He Weili to come and see Jun Muyang's little wife.

"She is very beautiful." He Weili commented. The girl was tall, had clear milky skin, a sharp nose and bright clear eyes. She was not one to scheme her way into a rich family. And she was brave. She was the kind of wife she wanted for her son.

"Will she be alright?" Grandma Jun asked. She did not want anything terrible to happen to her granddaughter-in law. Chi Lian may not know it yet but Jun Muyang's family had accepted her as his wife already. If they could, they would make her and Mei-Mei move to the ancestral home immediately.

"She is brave, articulate and outspoken. Look at her speed; she is very fast and strong. She will be alright." Grandpa Jun was proud. "A weak woman cannot handle Muyang."

He pulled out his phone and asked all his comrades if they were watching the news. Of course they said yes because the news was about the capture of rebels. How could they not watch it?

"That is my granddaughter-in- law. Do you see how brave she is, she is not like these girls who do nothing but paint their nails and sleep all day after shopping." He boasted.

Some of his friends ended the call shortly after because they had such grand-daughters and grand daughters-in-law.

After six to seven calls, grandma Jun forced him to put down the phone and watch the news.

In the royal palace, the young Prince Long watched the news with his family and the prime minister with much vigor. The action scenes excited him and boiled his blood just like every other young man.

"Is that the girl who found the information on the rebels?"

"Yes." His secretary responded.

Prince Long Fen kept his eyes on Chi Lian eagerly, she was beautiful and brave. She had been running for a while now but not even a drop of sweat could be seen, "She is just my type." He said.

"Rumor has it that she is Jun Muyang's woman." Prime Minister Long Feiyan snickered, "But you can try your best to steal her from him."

The smile on the face of the young prince froze. Suddenly, he was not that interested in her. Who in their right mind would steal the devil's woman?
