Disastrous Memory

Elara placed the globe in Islinda's hands. "Hold it tightly and think of a cherished memory, the globe will do the rest of the job, encapsulating the moment forever," she instructed.

Islinda closed her eyes and focused on a particular memory from her childhood. She was back on the farm with her papa, the sun shining warmly on them as they worked side by side. She remembered the earthy scent of the soil and the vibrant green of the crops surrounding them. It was a peaceful day, the kind that made her feel safe and loved.

Suddenly, she felt something creeping up her arm, making her uncomfortable . She looked down to see a small caterpillar making its way up her body. Oh no.

"Papa!" She screamed in terror, her voice echoing across the field. She hated creeping things.

Her father rushed over, laughing softly as he gently removed the tiny insect. "It's just a little caterpillar," he said, his voice soothing. "No need to be scared."
