"Huh?" Issac was so stunned by his fiancée's question that the argument he had been sure his question would have aroused, receded from his thoughts. 

He gave Maxi a befuddled look, "I don't understand. Why are you so interested in my mother's….." He trailed off, "Oh." He caught Maxi's eyes this time as understanding dawned on him. 

Issac grimaced slightly, "Trust me, you do not want to know. My mother was so enamored with my father, she married him at quite a young age."
