Issac was the one who caught Islinda before she hit the ground after losing consciousness, although Aldric made a move too but a warning look from Maxi stopped him midway. 

Aldric stared at his favorite horse shifter and she was not smiling at him. Not to mention, this was the first time she was being mad at him. 

"I was never going to mark her. She bit me and I returned the favor. You know how Islinda is, she would never learn unless an example is made of her. " He said with a callous shrug. 

But Maxi's frown deepened, "That is still not an excuse. Her bite could never harm you, no, it's nothing more than a nuisance, but you knew what yours could do. You took advantage of her, Aldric!"
