Barrier’s Expiration and Facing the Monster Wave!

Gray's eyes widened in surprise as he read the text on his interface, and he couldn't help but blurt out, "F*ck, the wave is actually going to start in just 59 minutes?"

Gray took a deep breath and quickly got out of bed. In just a few seconds, he went outside his cabin to wake up his goblins. However, as soon as he opened the door, he saw that all of his goblins were already awake and warming up their bodies in preparation for the upcoming fight.

Gray started warming up his body by jogging around his territory. After a brief jog, he reached for his iron steel katana from his inventory and prepared to practice. He sat in a seated position called "seiza," with his knees bent and back straight.

Then, in one smooth motion, he drew the sword from the scabbard as he transitioned to a standing position. With focused concentration, Gray executed a single strike through the air, maintaining proper form. He then sheathed the sword back into the scabbard with precision and control before repeating the moves again

Today was the day when all the barriers in the territories of each participant would expire. With the disappearance of the barriers, all beings would be free to enter any territory they desired.

The anticipation was high, and everyone waited for the moment when the barriers would disappear. The tension was heavy, and everyone kept track of the minutes until the barriers were gone.

After completing his sword practice, Gray made his way to the goblin summoning altar at the heart of his territory. Feeling the weight of the upcoming battle, Gray took a subtle breath and decided to summon additional goblins to aid them in the fight against the approaching wave.

After completing the usual steps of the summoning, including choosing an evolution path, naming, and selecting a skill, Gray was left with the results.

With a nod of satisfaction, Gray called all of his goblins to gather around him. The goblins formed a straight line in front of Gray, standing upright with alertness, their eyes fixed on him, waiting for his instructions.

With a composed demeanor, Gray addressed them in a commanding tone, "Listen up, my summons! Today's the big day - the incoming wave is upon us. It's time to show what you're made of and prove your worth in battle!

Gray gave roles to his goblins for the upcoming battle. He assigned Gobusuke as the captain, entrusting him with the responsibility of leading the goblin troops in battle. He also appointed Goburus as the vice-captain, to support Gobusuke and assist in coordinating the goblin forces.

Gray emphasized the importance of teamwork and instructed them to utilize their unique skills and fight cohesively against the impending wave of enemies. The goblins nodded in agreement, acknowledging their roles with determination to follow Gray's leadership.

The goblins sprang into action, motivated by Gray's words. The support-type goblins quickly got to work, preparing in their assigned areas.

Meanwhile, the frontline fighters gathered in front of Gobusuke and Goburus, who was designated as captain and vice-captain. With determination in their eyes, they formed a tight-knit group, ready to follow their leaders' instructions and fight together as a unified force against the approaching enemy wave.

As the countdown to the barrier's expiration reached its final minutes, Gray and his goblin warriors stood at the entrance of their territory, which had no wooden walls.

Gray had intentionally designed it this way, with only one way in, to make it easier to defend against potential intruders.

While Gray gazed at the forest, a text notification suddenly appeared in front of him.

[ Ding! The barrier has expired. The monster wave will start in 3... 2... 1... ]

A few moments ago, Gobusuke had already dispatched two goblin scouts to gather intel on the approaching enemy in the forest. Their sharp senses and stealthy movements provided vital information for the upcoming battle.

Soon after, the goblin scouts returned and briefed Gobusuke on the situation. They reported that a pack of 50 wolves was approaching the territory.

As they peered into the distance, they could see the wolves charging towards their territory. Gobusuke wasted no time in giving commands to the two goblin archers, the shadow sniper goblin, and the dual arcane pistolero goblin, who were all long-range units to unleash their attacks and defend their land.

When the wolves charged towards the territory, the goblin archers, Gobius and Gobryx, precisely aimed and fired their arrows and bullets.

The long-range units quickly dispatched the wolves one by one, preventing them from reaching the territory. The defeated enemies lay scattered on the ground, unable to breach the goblin defenses, as the goblins continued to hold their ground.

After all of the wolves were defeated, a text notification suddenly appeared in front of Gray once again.

[ Congratulations! You've successfully cleared the 1st wave. Do you wish to continue? ]

Gray quickly chose to continue the battle, and another notification appeared again.

[ The 2nd wave will start in 3... 2... 1... ]

As the group of 20 wolves and 30 Flameboars advanced towards the territory, the long-range units swiftly annihilated before they could come close.

Gray immediately moved on to the third wave, where 50 wolves and 50 Flameboars were once again defeated by the same unit. However, a few Flameboars managed to slip past, but they were quickly dealt with by Gobnar, who charged into the fray with his sword ready.

After successfully clearing the third wave, Gray immediately proceeded to the fourth wave, where the monster composition had changed. There were no wolves but instead, there were 50 Flameboars and 30 Stone Golems.

The Flameboars were destroyed in a matter of seconds by the long-range unit, but the Stone Golems proved to be more formidable. Arrows couldn't penetrate their tough iron skin, but the bullets from the ranged units were effective.

Some Stone Golems managed to get close to the frontline, but they were instantly killed by the warrior goblins and Goburus, who fearlessly dashed into battle in no time.

As the battle reached the 10th wave, it was clear that things were tougher than before. Gray and the goblins fought tirelessly, facing off against the upgraded Iron Golems, which were larger and stronger than ever.

The ground trembled with each heavy step of the Iron Golems, and their powerful fists dealt crushing blows, sending debris flying in all directions.

The Iron Golems were a double threat, able to punch and throw rocks with deadly precision, making them a formidable challenge for Gray and his summons.

Gobusuke stood confidently, facing off against three towering Iron Golems with his pristine white katana. With calculated precision, he slashed and cut at their iron-hard skin as if it were butter. The golems crumbled under his lightning-fast strikes, unable to withstand the power of his blade.

Meanwhile, Goburus, the Scythelord Goblin, had been using his skill "Harvest Soul" since the first wave, rapidly increasing his strength. With a mighty swing of his enormous scythe, he cleaved two of the Iron Golems apart, reaping their bodies flawlessly.

As Gobulus, Gobryx, and Gobius each felled an Iron Golem on their own, Gray continued to demonstrate his prowess with his katana. His strikes were accurate and powerful, dispatching the golems with remarkable efficiency.

The other goblins followed suit, employing teamwork and coordinated attacks to overcome the formidable foes. Their combined efforts resulted in a resounding victory, with Gray delivering the final blow to the last remaining Iron Golem.

The battlefield was now littered with defeated golems, and the goblins roared in triumph as they emerged victorious from the 10th wave.

The same text notification appeared again.
