Evolution, Skills, and Messages!

After choosing the Shadow Blade Goblin and Scythelord Goblin evolution paths, Gray's two goblins started to glow and transform. When the light subsided, Gray was left staring at his two newly evolved goblins, who were now almost unrecognizable.

The Shadow Blade Goblin now wielded two sharp, gleaming blades that crackled with dark energy. Its body had become sleek and agile, it's skin had turned a dark, almost black shade with piercing red eyes that glinted in the darkness.

The Sycthelord Goblin, on the other hand, had transformed into a hulking beast, its body covered in dense muscle. In its hands was a massive, razor-sharp scythe that seemed to pulse with a sinister aura. Its eyes had turned a deep, glowing green, and its teeth were now razor-sharp fangs.

The two goblins stood with an air of confidence and strength, their powerful presence almost palpable.

Gray could sense that his goblins had not only gained immense physical strength but had also become imbued with powerful magic.

As Gray was admiring the transformed goblins, a notification suddenly appeared before his eyes. The message prompted him to set names for his two goblins.

[ Set a name for the Shadow Blade Goblin ]

[ Set a name for the Scythelord Goblin ]

Without hesitation, he quickly came up with the names 'Goburus' for his Sycthelord Goblin and 'Gobulus' for his Shadow Blade Goblin.

After naming his goblins, Gray decided to check their interfaces.

=====

[ Shadow Blade Goblin ] ( Epic )

- Name: Gobulus ( M )

- Level: 1

- Traits: Cunning, Ruthless, Quick-witted

- Skills: ( Unselected )

[ Scythelord Goblin ] ( Legendary )

- Name: Goburus ( M )

- Level: 1

- Traits: Fearless, Ruthless, Cold-blooded

- Loyalty: 85/100

- Skills: ( Unselected )

Gray's attention was immediately drawn to the "Skills: (Unselected)" section of the goblin interface. Intrigued, he tapped on it, and a list of skills appeared on the interface.

=====

[ Choose a skill ] ( Gobulus )

- Shadow Chain

: Gobulus can create chains of shadow that wrap around an enemy, reducing their movement speed and dealing damage over time. Cooldown: 30 seconds.

- Shadow Clone

: Gobulus can create a shadow clone of himself with 70% of his own strength. The clone can fight and use Gobulus' skills but has only 30% of Gobulus' health. The clone lasts for 2 minutes or until defeated. Cooldown: 10 minutes.

- Poisoned Blades

: Coats Gobulus blades in a potent poison that can weaken or even incapacitate their foes. The poison can last for 5 minutes. Cooldown: 10 minutes.

[ Choose a skill ] ( Goburus )

- Harvest Soul

: Goburus can use his scythe to reap the soul of a fallen foe, restoring a portion of his health and gaining temporary increased attack speed. There is also a 5% chance that the soul harvested will grant Goburus a permanent increase in strength, making him even more formidable in battle. Cooldown: 30 seconds.

- Whirlwind Strike

: Goburus can spin his scythe in a wide arc, damaging all enemies in the area. Deals additional damage to enemies with low health. Cooldown: 60 seconds.

- Death Shroud

: Goburus can enter a state of deathly shroud, increasing his attack speed and movement speed by 10% for 60 seconds. All nearby enemies suffer from reduced accuracy and movement speed. Cooldown: 2 minutes.

Gray carefully reads through each skill description, weighing the pros and cons of each option. He imagined himself in different scenarios and how each skill could be useful in battle. Shadow Chain could be helpful in controlling an enemy's movement, while Poisoned Blades could weaken or incapacitate foes. As for Shadow Clone, it could be a valuable asset in distracting enemies and dealing additional damage.

On the other hand, Goburus' skills were more focused on his scythe and reaping souls. Harvest Soul could potentially grant him permanent strength, while Whirlwind Strike could deal damage to multiple enemies at once. Death Shroud could be useful in increasing Goburus' speed and accuracy while also reducing those of his enemies.

After careful consideration, Gray decided to choose Shadow Clone for Gobulus and Harvest Soul for Goburus. He believed that Shadow Clone would provide a useful distraction and additional damage in battle, while Harvest Soul could keep Goburus energized in a battle and potentially make him even stronger in the long run. Gray felt confident that these skills would give them an edge in the upcoming battles.

Gray took another look at the interface of the two goblins.

[ Shadow Blade Goblin ] ( Epic )

"Blade Mastery? Scythe Mastery?"

Gray's attention was caught by the additional skills in the goblins' profiles. He noticed that Gobulus had the Blade Mastery skill while Goburus had the Scythe Mastery skill. Intrigued, he clicked on the skill descriptions for both goblins.

=====

[ Blade Mastery ] ( Passive ) ( LVL: 1-star )

: Enhances Gobulus' proficiency with blades and other sharp weapons. His attacks with blades deal 10% more damage.

[ Scythe Mastery ] ( Passive ) ( LVL: 1-star )

Gray's lips slightly widen as he reads the descriptions of the passive skills Blade Mastery and Scythe Mastery. "Pretty d*mn good skills in the long term" he exclaims, feeling ecstatic that these skills are free upgrades for the goblins.

After he finished checking out the goblins' skills, Gray suddenly remembered that he needed to gather resources like food and materials to survive.

Gray ordered Gobulus and Goburus to go to the nearby forest to hunt and scout the vicinity.

"Alright, boys. Time to go to work," Gray said as he pointed towards the forest on the horizon. "Remember, if you encounter any humans, don't kill them unless it's necessary. Just abduct them and bring them back here. Understood?"

The goblins nodded in agreement, eager to show off their skills and please their master. With a quick wave, they disappeared into the forest, leaving Gray alone with his thoughts.

Gray opened his interface again and pondered, "What should I do now? I need to set some basic goals for myself. Firstly, I need to gather essential resources like food and materials. I also need information and then upgrade my territory and train my body just to be sure because I don't know what the f*cking gods prepare for this d*mn game."

"Pretty useful skill," Gray said as he read the description of the skill. After reading the description of his Mental Fortitude skill, Gray didn't close his interface but instead went to the chat section. As soon as he opened it, a notification appeared before him.

[ To start chatting, please choose a username for your chat profile ]

Gray pondered for a moment, considering what kind of username he should choose. Finally, he settled on "Apollo," feeling that it was both unique and fitting for his character. As he confirmed his choice, a series of notifications popped up on his interface.

=====

[ Server Messages ] ( Server: Earth )

VirtuesLife: "Seeking alliance with other players. It's a dangerous world out there and we're stronger together. Is anyone interested? I have 2-star talent and a 2-star summoning altar."

DragonBoy75: "Why am I so unlucky? I received a 1-star talent and a 1-star summoning altar."

PlsHelpMe123: "Desperately need water. I'm stranded in a desert environment and I don't have any resources."

MysticHunter: "Just encountered a pack of hyenas while exploring. My summons saved my life, but I'm still shaking."

IWantToGoHome: "I'm at my wits' end. My summons was killed by a giant in the mountain. I just want to go home."

Gray continued to scroll through the server messages, taking note of the various environments that the players had been teleported into. He couldn't help but feel lucky that he was in a forest environment where resources were abundant.

As he read through the messages of players pleading for help and calling for alliances, he couldn't help but wonder how he could benefit from their situations. He kept his eyes peeled for useful information that he could use to his advantage.

Gray organized all the information he had gathered. He noted that his 5-star talent was exceptional, but his 1-star summoning altar was a weakness. He had seen players with 2-star and 3-star summoning altars, with the highest being fire imps.

He also saw that some players had already formed alliances, and it seemed like a good strategy to be part of a team for safety and resource sharing. While he acknowledged the potential benefits of being in a team, he preferred to work independently and not be restricted by group decisions.

Gray was also disappointed to see some players only complaining and not doing anything to improve their situations. He believed that it was a waste of time and resources to complain and that they should focus on their territories instead. After going through the chat, Gray checked the server marketplace.
