-Third person

After his meeting with the Tyrells, the Prussian monarch, destined all his time almost obsessively to develop one of his greatest desires, now that he finally had free time because much of the administration was already delegated

A civil code, where he could root out the ideas of iusnaturalism of Prussian law, since from his knowledge of some of his lifetimes as a lawyer and the only one as a judge he knew perfectly well its excesses and its facility for the corruption that a system based on morality and interpretation allows.

It was not uncommon for a judge to abuse his authority to seek a form of interpretation of the law to benefit a friend or the highest bidder, since the judge to apply the ''fairest'' justice could apply freely at will, molding the laws in a way that benefited the judge's view.

Wilhelm used as a meeting place the house that the engineers had built as a test, where the planning of the legal reform was to begin.

The Prussian monarch was meeting, with a multitude of jurists and judges, working hard for hours on the creation of the basic norms for a positivist law, separating morality from justice

After many hours of work of the most brilliant minds, hundreds of sheets of paper used, dozens of spilled inkwells and broken quills, the Prussian monarch had finished, he had written a civil code, which explicitly described many everyday cases that a judge will have to solve in his life, taking away the ability to make use of his morals when pronouncing sentence, where the law is strictly applied, where the law fulfills its work as an element of social integration.

''The first of many, now let's continue with a new penal code'' said Wilhelm smiling while observing the new Prussian civil code in his tent surrounded by several nobles and Teutonic's who had huge dark circles under their eyes and upon hearing the words of their king began to run their fingers through their hair, sighing or covering their eyes with their hands.

One of the innovations that the Prussians had brought to westeros was the printing press, one of the best tools necessary for the administration, but nowadays, it was only dedicated to producing copies of the Prussian legal codes and they were distributed among the judges so that they had time to study the new concepts and could apply the new justice.

The only difference between the code possessed by the Prussian monarch and the judges was the color of the paper because due to the scarcity of ''the blood of empires'' the Prussians had to use cellulose from wood and create new sheets of paper, but these were of a yellowish color because the Prussians did not have the capacity to produce the necessary chemicals to bleach the paper.

''Mein Herr, we are about to arrive at ashford,'' said one of the guards leading the horses in the carriage.

''Thanks for the information'' said a judge who was reading the new codes he had to learn before beginning his work.

The judge began to look out over the ashford landscape.

In the distance you could see black smoke which was something characteristic of ashford since the Prussians arrived, the city had become the place where the Prussians processed all the metals, the Prussians had invested a great amount of their workers, prisoners and soldiers in building an incredible amount of furnaces to maintain an enormous production of steel.

So much was the success of steel works that the ore they must work is scarce, since they process the materials faster than they arrive, so much so that the Prussians are desperately looking for ore veins within their territory in order to have internal production, but so far, everything has been in vain.

But the new Prussian obsession is now copper articles, since the Prussians discovered that this material has antibacterial characteristics, the Prussian monarch exempted from tax the sale of copper articles so that there would be an incentive to the propagation of these copper gadgets as well as to make them as cheap as possible for the general population.

Hanz von Goslar had been assigned as a permanent judge of one of the most important cities in the Prussian territory.

Hanz surveyed all the surrounding buildings as he stepped out of his carriage, looking carefully at the buildings of German architecture that were slowly beginning to occupy a larger part of the city.

''Mein Herr, allow me to guide you to your new court, I'm sorry I can't give you the necessary time to settle in, but we already have many trials that have accumulated and it is necessary to start reducing them'' said a personal knight of the governor of the city.

''No problem, guide me to my new home, I will try to see the maximum amount of cases today'' said Hanz as he took his civil code and penal code.

The judge followed the knight through the city, while he carefully observed the inhabitants that watched him

Until he reached a building that was in the process of construction.

''Your court is ready, only other parts are still under construction'' said the knight apologetically.

''No problem, bring me the accused'' said Hanz as he entered the courtroom.

The new judge quickly began to put his work tools near his desk and prepared everything necessary for the first trials that he will have to solve today.

The judge took his books and kept reading them, trying to have fresh knowledge to speed up the hearings as much as possible.

While he was waiting two guards arrived to guard him and another group began to bring the accused while those who had civil conflicts waited their turn.

''Salute his honor Hanz von goslar'' said a guard pointing to the judge.

The somewhat confused people lowered their heads as a sign of respect for the judge.

Hanz gave the signal for the trials to begin.

''Today being the eighteenth day of October, in the year of our lord 1637, the hearings begin,'' said Hanz to all who could hear him.

Hanz looked at the prosecutor

''Your honor, the accused here present, is charged with attempted sabotage of one of our warehouses in an attempt to burn the grain we have in storage, he was caught with incendiary material trying to set it on fire'' said the prosecutor looking at the defendant who was chained up.

Hanz made the pretense of taking his penal code, but he already knew the penalty he should give him.

Where does the defendant reside,'' Hanz asked the prosecutor.

''In a village six kilometers north of here, your honor,'' answered the prosecutor.

''You are charged with treason, how do you plead,'' said Hanz to the accused.

''You damned Prussian scum, the day will come when the seven will give you your punishment, it will not be long now,'' said the accused.

''I repeat, how do you plead?'', asked Hanz again.

The Westerosi only returned to uttering insults against the Prussians.

''Correct, due to your circumstances and having reliable witnesses, I Hanz von goslar on behalf of his majesty Wilhelm von Hohenzollern, I sentence you to death, day of execution, today, at sunset, on the main square in a public manner method of execution hanging'' said Hanz with a strong tone of voice.

The accused's face lost its color as the guards took him away to prepare him for execution.

''Next'' said Hanz

The judge had to issue eight equal sentences because it was a coordinated attack by the rebels and they were all captured, they would all be hanged in a public manner in the main square of ashford and become a public spectacle

''Where does the defendant reside?'' Hanz asked the prosecutor for the ninth time as he continued to judge the rebels.

''Harvest hall, your honor,'' said the prosecutor.

Hanz opened his eyes because this rebel was not from his king's territories.

''Are you sure about that?'', asked the judge to the prosecutor.

''Yes your honor, a reliable source, assures us that his family resides in that place and he came to ashford to join the rebellion led by a local septon'' said the prosecutor.

''Correct, due to his circumstances and having reliable witnesses, I Hanz von goslar on behalf of his majesty Wilhelm von Hohenzollern, I sentence you to death, day of execution, today, at sunset, in the main square in a public manner method of execution hanging''said Hanz with a strong tone of voice.

''But considering, the place of your home, I must apply the westerosi procedure, to avoid conflicts with the justice of the seven kingdoms, you may choose hanging or serve in the night watch'' Hanz said to the accused.

The accused didn't think twice and immediately said his choice

''The night watch'' said the accused.

''Take the man to the dungeons until the night watch recruiter comes by to pick up his recruits'' said the judge

''Next''said Hanz as he prepared to give another similar sentence.

''Your honor, the accused here present, he is charged with robbery, three days ago at the place of a merchant's silver jewelry disappeared, the merchant accused this man'' said the prosecutor

''Visual witnesses of the event? When he was caught, were the silver pieces found on him?'' asked the judge.

''No, your honor, no one saw him, nor were the objects found on him'' said the prosecutor.

''You are accused of robbery, how do you plead?'', asked the judge.

''Not guilty...your..... your honor?'', said the accused.

''Due to your circumstances, I empower the city guard to search your home and all known property of yours, I give a period of three days to investigate this robbery, in the event that no credible evidence is found, all charges will be dropped, and you will be compensated for the days in jail without justification'', said the judge.

''During this period of three days you will not be in prison, but you will not be able to leave the walls of the city, if you try to do so I will apply the maximum penalty for robbery which is five years of forced labor, is that clear?'', said the judge to the accused.

''Yes, your... your honor, thank you very much,'' said the accused while the chains were removed.

''Remember, three days, you must be here at the first hours of operation of this court, to be released from charges or be found guilty, if you are found in absentia the maximum sentence'' finished the judge and hit with his wooden hammer

''This is the last case we have your honor, with your permission I retire'' said the prosecutor.

''Well, civil cases'' said the judge.

during the rest of the day the judge reviewed the civil conflicts that exist in the city, but in these specific cases the code allowed him to intercede to mediate and offer alternative ways to solve the conflicts, mainly thinking that many are neighbors and even family in some cases and to dictate sentence in conflicts about problems on property limits could generate grievances among them.

In those cases, in which no party accepted mediation, days were decreed for the parties to bring evidence to the trial to support their claims so that they could be analyzed at the judge's discretion to determine the sentence.

Most of the people who learned of the new legal system in the cities were quite pleased because it was an extremely positive change from the previous system where their feudal lords judged them as they wished on the day they wished.

Which resulted in an improvement in the speed of obtaining justice, as well as providing the tools to defend themselves in cases of an accusation with little evidence or a false accusation.
