POV of Wilhelm

''A damn dream, a damn dream revealed our position, that's not possible'' said Helmuth furious.

''I am angry about that too Helmuth, but we are lucky that he totally trusts his prophetic dreams, having to fight his army was the worst outcome of our plan'' I said thoughtfully.

''Are we going to honor the deal?'', asked Charles

''NO'' said Helmuth and I at the same time.

''He offers a lot, but he will also demand a lot, we are not idiots, he wants to use our army as meat in the meat grinder for when we win his battles he will capture the traitors' castles with Prussian blood and when we are weak from conquests he will gather an army and attack us from behind'' said Helmuth

''But he offered us a very good compromise, the daughter of the crown prince'' said Charles.

''A good politician is willing to sacrifice his own family for the sake of power, this will be no exception, he will give up his daughter to buy time and kill us when we are losing men in sieges because I doubt the rebels will fall for our trick, especially now that Brynden and Lyn are with them days ago, they will know our tricks and we will have to conventionally siege all the castles, years it could take before we can capture all the castles'' I said while scratching my head

''Just forget what happened, pretend none of this ever happened, it's for the best, tomorrow we will watch the battle and kill the Targaryen, in a way his dream made sense, a dragon will hatch or die by my hand, we are the ones who have control over what will happen tomorrow'' I said smiling

''I really hate this mercenary thing, everyone thinks we are brainless as soon as they give us a better deal, they think we will change sides, immediately the Targaryen has already lost the war, no matter what he does now'' said Helmuth looking at the contents of his cup

''No one likes this, but we must do it, prestige comes second when the survival of our people is at stake, good, you may withdraw, the Westerosis will probably fight each other in the morning, get your men ready, they must be ready to move out to seek combat as soon as we give the order to charge'' I said to my officers.

Everyone withdrew from my tent and I stood looking at the map of the battlefield.

--------------------------------

The following day

The sun was beginning to rise, giving its first warm rays of sunshine.

Slowly, the rebel and royalist camps were preparing to fight each other.

The selected battlefield was one of the fords of the main rivers that divide the river lands.

With each passing minute, the men on both sides begin to form battle lines, the infantry began to form a well cohesive line preparing to march occupying the left flank and center of both armies

While the pride of the Westerosis the cavalry was placed in place of honor on the right flank where all the knights of the noble houses of the seven kingdoms were gathering, showing off their armor that shone in the sunlight because it had been diligently polished to have this effect.

Hundreds of banners were raised to accompany the hosts of the lords of the seven kingdoms as they began to spread out.

The royalists had fifty thousand men, from the crown lands, the Stormlands, the reach and Dorne, a fresh and well-equipped army that was eager to fight Robert and end the rebellion, they wanted to prove that the moons they had waited for were not in vain and their training was hard, as prince Rhaegar was overseeing that the training was effective.

While the rebels had forty thousand men, from the north, the Stormlands, the vale and the river lands, though perhaps not as well-equipped as the royalists they had more real experience because the vast majority of the men had fought in previous battles and skirmishes against the lords still loyal to the Targaryen in the river lands, many were already veterans with real experience when it came to killing a man.

For several minutes, both armies prepared themselves and when both decided they were ready they began to advance against their enemies.

From a hill not far from the whole conflict stood a dozen Prussians observing the battlefield with their spyglasses, in the center of them was a strategy table that had figurines pointing out the westerosis battle units to get a view of the battle

And there were several men with sticks with which they moved the figures as soon as one of the officers indicated what was happening on the battlefield.

''What do you think of the Westerosis'' I asked my officers as we watched the movements of the two armies.

''Pathetic'' said one officer

''No discipline'' replied another

''They lack discipline my king, you can already see how cracks are forming in the infantry formation as they advance and it is on both sides, so I can assume that their men were not taught to march and depend on the pace of their officers, the knights of both sides are lagging behind'' said Helmuth as he used his spyglass.

The men at the strategy table began to move the Westerosi cavalry figurines.

''Yes, I can see it, who do you think will take the initiative to cross the river ford first,'' I asked Helmuth.

''From the pace the men are going I would say the rebels will try to cross the river first, unless they stop first'' said Helmuth

''Yes... but will they try skirmishing tactics?, I don't see many archers on both sides, there are plenty of infantry, but few using projectiles'' I said to my officers

''My king is right, there is little presence of archers and crossbowmen on both sides'' an officer replied.

We continued observing the battle as both armies advanced in the direction of the river and when they were about to arrive their archers advanced faster and began to exchange projectiles between them.

From the exchange of projectiles the rebel archers were the ones that were winning the combat, after that small skirmish the infantry of both sides began to move to the river.

The forces led by Rhaegar Targaryen tried to cross the river and Robert's forces also did the same, throwing against the royalist forces that were advancing in the ford of the river.

''Apparently both leaders are incompetent, the river gave an advantage to anyone who stood around waiting for the other side to pass'' I said looking at the battle.

''Pretty inept, I wanted to think that the westerosis just haven't had a chance to show their strategic skills, but apparently charging is all they know how to do'' Helmuth said disappointed.

''The forces of house martell are putting a lot of pressure against Robert's left flank, I see the heraldry of house corbray'' said an officer.

Again the figurines moved again, looking at the tactical map, the Targaryen were winning because slowly but surely, they were pushing back the rebels

''Should we go in now, my king?'' asked Charles.

''Not yet, the westerosis must bleed more, patience Charles'' I replied to my knight.

The right flank of both forces was the last to collide hundreds or perhaps thousands of knights began to fight each other in the river making the task of directing their horses and fighting their enemies quite difficult.

On the right flank, the battle was going hard for both royalists and rebels, the fight had no clear winner, but we still had to keep on waiting.

For half an hour the combat continued, the river was beginning to change color and was filling with the blood of the combatants.

Robert's left flank was being pushed alarmingly, while in the center there was no winner, every minute it was changing who was keeping the pressure, the right flank was being won by the rebels although not clearly.

Seeing this I continued to use our best card to win, patience.

the minutes passed and the sound of metal clashing against metal continued to sound and each time a more fierce battle was heard, we were beginning to notice the mountains of bodies that were forming or how the river water was carrying the bodies of the dead.

''THE CENTER MY KING, A DUEL'' shouted an officer.

Immediately we all began to focus in the center of the battle where the banners of house Baratheon, Stark, Arryn, Martell and Targaryen stood in the center of the river.

''I see the Targaryen prince's armor,'' said Helmuth.

''Armor with stag antlers must be Robert'' said another officer.

'A duel to decide a battle, interesting'.

We were all focused on the outcome of the duel, for when one of the duelists falls dead, we must charge with our cavalry.

-------------------------------------------------------

Robert of House Baratheon upon seeing his Nemesis the man who had kidnapped the love of his life, was consumed with rage, honoring the words of his family, the moment Rhaegar showed himself in front to encourage his men to continue fighting Robert immediately galloped on his steed to confront the prince.

Rhaegar, seeing a furious Robert rushing at him, decided not to run away, confident that he could defeat Robert and end the bloodbath that this battle was becoming.

Both galloped off to try to kill the other.

With spear in hand both charged each other.

Rhaegar more skilled with his lance managed to hit Robert making him almost fall off his horse, but Robert managed to hit Rhaegar's horse making the prince's horse die forcing him to fight on foot.

Robert took his war hammer and got down from his horse running towards the prince who was drawing his sword.

''RHAEGAR!'', Robert shouted so loud that he managed to overcome the noise of the battle.

Robert ran towards Rhaegar swinging his hammer trying to hit the Targaryen prince.

Rhaegar managed to dodge the blow with a skillful move, with his sword, he tried to hit Robert looking for a weak spot.

Though Rhaegar struck fast and hard, Robert, consumed with rage, took the blows and tried to strike Rhaegar.

For several seconds, they both endeavored to kill each other looking for the slightest weakness of their opponent.

As Robert prepared to swing his hammer, Rhaegar took the opportunity to attack the joint of Robert's armor and drove his sword into Robert's armpit.

Blood flowed from the recent wound Robert had suffered.

Rhaegar had begun to fantasize about his victory as he tried to continue thrusting his sword through Robert's weak spot.

But Robert managed to pull off the prince's sword and managed to catch the Targaryen prince's arm with his wounded arm, Rhaegar attempted to break free, but Robert's grip was firm.

Robert with all his anger, hatred, concentrated all his strength on his arm that held his war hammer.

''DIE'' shouted Robert

Robert's blow was accurate and powerful, striking directly at the prince's chest, who desperately tried to move out of the way of the blow.

The Targaryen prince's breastplate was destroyed, the beautiful rubies that formed the Targaryen heraldry were destroyed making them fall into the river.

After that blow Rhaegar collapsed, all his ribs had broken, his helmet had fallen off from the power of the blow, revealing the prince's violet eyes wide open as his blood spilled into the river.

Robert had won the duel, but the battle was still in favor of the royalists, who, seeing the death of their prince, tried to kill Robert.

Robert, wounded and already tired after his duel, was fighting for his life, forcing him to retreat to the safety of his men.

The royalists were still advancing, trying to finish the battle.

The rebels had suffered many casualties and many of their commanders were already thinking of retreating, the battle was being won by the royalists.

The battle was being won by the royalists when the sound of trumpets began to be heard coming from the rear of the royalists.

Carrying banners of an eagle with a sword and a banner of an iron cross.

These rode against the ranks of the royalist forces.

''GOTT MIT UNS'' shouted the knights.
