The Golden Blood Mutant, frightened by the furious nature of the Ethisian, surrounded itself with Blood Clones while shielding its body with two large Blood Blades almost similar to Aces'. The Blood Blades were almost the same width, length, and height as his body, acting more like shields than blades with the purpose of protecting him from the Ethisian's heavy attacks.

As much as he tried, Jim didn't have the strength or cunning techniques to battle the Ethisian head-on. His fear, pride, and big-headedness made him freeze in front of the colossal beast, despite him knowing that Ethisians were terrified of Blood Mutants.
