It took them a while along with a lot of contemplation and investigation on their part before they concluded that where they are, is not inside the game world LORDS.

This brings about the next question; where exactly did they end up?

Stranded in a world that they know nothing about, the players all decided that it was best that they stick together, at least until they have a vivid clue on what sort of circumstances they are in.
